The Senate has passed comprehensive Immigration Reform, with an Amnesty provision! FINALLY!

Lets see what the House does.
 
And from what I read on another list - since DOMA is dead, same sex married couples can now sponsor their overseas spouse, so it's ok that it's not in the bill. Moot point now.

Glad to know the Senate passed it!

It's an interesting political situation. Repbulicans represent about 1/3 of the population but that 1/3 of the population owns about 3/4 of the land. That's how they are able to control the house but lose most of the other national elections. That's also why they oppose immigration reform. It takes away an exploitable class of labor for them.
 
No they can fully legally exploit them with reform!
