I think what we can conclude is that this thread is simply an attempt to troll those who support any kind of gun control by advancing an utterly illogical false choice. If a sixth grader advanced that premise, he would be flunked. It's lazy and weak. What it is not is an attempt to have a meaningful discussion on suicide and how it is impacted by access to weapons. That's a discussion that has merit, but I don't believe that's why Dutch Uncle is here. He's here to troll. It is what it is.

That would be the stock Democratic answer. "Guns? We're not coming for your guns. We just want to ban all semi-automatic, magazine fed rifles and pistols with magazine over 10 rounds. See? No gun ban".

I've been hearing it for 30 years but after eight years of President Clinton and eight years of President Obama, still no Democratic control of what I think.

You should actually try to respond to what I said, rather than just throwing another line in the water. Sorry, you picked the wrong guy. Your argument is this..... 'Democrats want gun control, therefore they don't care about suicide'. Nothing more, and nothing less, and you have not walked that back one inch. That is not a serious position. You know it and I know it. Stop pretending that it is.

"All Republicans/Right Wingers are <insert insult here>" is a pretty common phrase. You and I both know that's true.

That said, agreed on "all Democrats" which is why I wrote "Democratic Party agenda" or words to that effect.

The Democratic Party fought to create laws to reign in the banks


Clinton signed that law in 1999



Bush and the republicans buried the rules on that LAW to allow the banks to fuck us


Blame the ones who deserve the blame
