It's not how many Trillions are spent by the Democrats or Republicans; it's how that money is spent. It's what the focus is upon.

Consider Bush bailing out the Banks and GM. The problem was "too big to fail". Sure, the bailouts were necessary because they were "too big to fail". Result? Now airlines, along with banks and car companies are too big to fail. Congress didn't do a fucking thing to prevent it from happening again. They just did like Democrats: Throw money at it and hope it goes away.

If Trump had his way, Trump's Folly would have stretched from Brownsville, TX to San Diego, CA at a cost of $50B and about the same every year for guards and upkeep. How would that stop illegal immigration when 60% of illegals were Visa overstays? Answer: It wouldn't have because the wall only treated the symptoms.

Now tell me the Democrats aren't doing the same with mental illness and their gun fetish?

Another thread with a title even more simple minded than the simple mindedness that follows in the text. Democrats in Congress through passage of various health bills have done far more for mental health than Republicans in Congress ever have. In fact, Republicans show little interest in mental health except when it comes to arguing against gun control. On the issue of guns, it's the GOP that "doesn't care". The Cruz argument, which is typical of his party, essentially says the great proliferation of guns in this country is not in any way to blame for what happens when those guns are fired. This is not intelligent. Worse, it is deliberate obfuscation.
