10 people, ages 8-21, shot dead in Mexico

wow that's the level I'd expect from a teabagger. You guy's will watch crying all the way as the country embrasses freedom.

It's not just kids going to Mexico. Two weeks ago 3 Americans connected to the US Consulate in Juarez Mexico were gunned down. There was also an infant in the car who was not hurt. There was also an article yesterday about children of Mexican immigrants who fled the violence being followed by cartle members as they go to school here in the US. The violence has flooded Pheonix, which now has on average one kidnapping per day related to the drug trade. If legalized, the cartels would have no power here. No one is going to buy marijuana from Mexico when we grow some of the best in the world right here in the US. Legalize it and MORE americans will grow it, sell it in the US for cheaper and shut down the cartels. The drug war has FAILED. Too much good money has been thrown in after the bad. It needs to end now.

It would help but I think 90% of the cocaine coming in, comes from Mexico and I believe they supply a lot of other drugs like meth.

I am ok with legalizing any drugs so long as those who use agree to give up any government healthcare. You want freedom, you have to take the responsibility along with it.

teabaggers gone wild!!!

One of the big arguments against legalization is that we will be stuck paying taxes for government healthcare for those who use drugs. With less government in healthcare and people more self-responsible for their health, you take away that argument and make it easier to legalize.

It's one of the more retarded of the teabaggers arguments. But I'll shoot it too shit anyway.

1. Billions in tax dollars of you legalize.
2. Billions in reduced prison cost if you just decriminalize
3. Nobody is talking about legalizing all drugs, at least the greatest majority just want God's Herb to not result in prison
4. there may be people seeking rehab from pot, but its not over hundreds much less than say are trying to quit cigs.
There are really no educated rational arguments for pot to remain under schedule I.

I think you're confusing TEA activists with standard run of the mill conservatives on this issue. Most TEA activists in my area feel that the feds have no power to regulate possession of most drugs.

I hope your right, it's prob the religious nuts on the right. At least the tea people mainly want less gov, less taxes.

In the 1920's and 30's if people weren't spending their money on illegal booze, rival mobs would not have been shooting each other and innocent people over alcohol. So people should have realized that when they bought illegal booze they were killing people.

I agree.....

religious right and the social conservatives. they are the flip side of far leftists on controlling the behaviors and choices people are allowed to make for themselves.

I'm not just talking about rehab, I am talking about other health problems too, pot has a higher tar content than tobacco for instance. Many of the problems from smoking tobacco exist with smoking pot - that costs hundreds of billions in healthcare costs per year.

I am sure you get a lot back from drug money confiscation by the feds. Ultimately you may be right, I am just saying if you do away with government healthcare you have my support and many others. You take away that argument leaving only those who just want to restrict it for restrictions sake.

A lot of righties cling to retarded arguments like that. You have zero links on cannabis and health cost. It's sad cause conservatives play the freedom card so well, but then shit on freedom every chance they get.:readit:
