Because Comey believed the Hillbag would win, ... and knew it would be trouble to have to explain how the Trump investigation was initiated.

Comey stated quite clearly that he gave that press conference because he believed Hillary would win. I am convinced he was salivating over the prospect of having real dirty goods on old gas bag Hillary. Imagine the power he could wield over such a legally compromised president.

I’m having trouble pinning Comey down and I’m usually pretty good at it.

My best guess Comey is all about Comey and has a sort of moral narcissism going on, where Comey is always above the fray and having to ‘make things right’ because Comey is the only one who is fit to do it. That explains why he’d so readily step out bounds and go against protocol.

I also get the idea he sold a lot of people on his moral superiority because he was well-regarded. If I’m right I don’t think Comey would try to work Hillary that way.

Do you know the history of J. Edgar Hoover? I think Comey is all about power. There’s nothing moral about acts of dishonesty, whether he lied through actual commission or through deliberate omission- Comey, by his own admission, was calculated.

If you believe him, then it was because he couldn't trust the Republican leaning FBI to keep the information from leaking. The real question is 'why did they sit on the Weiner laptop info for 1 month before making it public via a corrupt Congress?

A separate question, hardly anyone asks, is what were Hillary’s emails doing on Weiner’s laptop?

Huma didn’t have her own laptop lol? These people have money. I have trouble believing any of them would be forced to borrow a laptop for any reason at all. Whatever the official ‘story’ is the whole thing is a little sketchy.

The most plausible explanation for sitting on the Wiener emails is because they were hot to get after Trump and didn’t want to bother with them. That’s supported by the Strzok texts and the pervasive anti-Trump *animus* on the Seventh Floor. It’s wasn’t mere bias—it was animus.

Another thing about that: we’re only seeing the tip of the iceberg. I can’t believe Strzok and his lover were stupid enough to use government devices to text back and forth about their little schemes. Were it not for their stupidity, hardly any of this would have been exposed. And it’s nearly certain that we don’t have the whole picture.

Why did they sit on the ‘stop Trump’ text thread so long? What else are they sitting on? How many got deleted?

This is arguably the biggest political scandal in the history of our politics.

Nice dodge. Why did the FBI sit on it for a month, and then rush to evaluate the emails just before the election? Why didn't they immediately check the emails, and clear them?


trump uses a private email all the time, along with an unsecured phone. No scandal?

I realize that Appalachia doesn't always get the same quality internet/cable that the rest of the country does, but all of that is readily available. Maybe it'll be in your area by next year?
