1 Out Of Every 509 Americans Has Died Of COVID

If he did, isn't that understandable?

Let's assume I knew some weakness about you or just hit it by accident. Let's say I exploited that in a pol debate forum where we've never shaken hands or broken bread.
I might not behave like a robot. In fact, in abar scenario you'd respect me more if I were emotional and kicked someone's ass. Am I wrong on this?

I both have and want friends. I also enjoy influence. I'm like most people. This is another example of Dutch trying to troll my sexual orientation and psychoanalyze me as an amateur.

Seriously? Man the fuck up, dude. No, I wouldn't because I don't "care" as much as you do. LOL

5mkn5n.jpg

"Man up." "Repetitive and repetitive," said the New York Times.

Being an old fart, I can't keep up with it. But anyways I'm on your side on this. Be who you want to be and label yourself if you want to.
Much safer than letting others do that for you, history shows.

I don't think this has shit to do with most discussions. It enhances your cred in some conversations when that is "in issue"

I participate in a lot of threads about LGBTQ issues because it's part of my life experience and interests me. In unrelated threads, however, like this one, I would guess that someone like Dutch (and far more obnoxious, hateful, and stupid posters) brings up my sexual orientation out of the blue two thirds of the time or so. I'm the board's token non-straight guy (along with Katzgar), so by way of homophobia or more often, repressed homosexuality, I find myself confronted by insults to my sexual orientation a lot. I didn't have these experiences myself in grade school, but that's where most of JPP's posters seem to have stopped intellectually developing.

LOL. So not being let out on amphibious assault on D Day at Omaha beach is my happy zone? That's a low bar.

See though? The "man up" thing is below the waist. You know that Dutch.

He literally can't control himself. As he proseletyzes for pages about my lack of self control.

Anyway, I appreciate your perspective and support.

An explanation of relativity attributed to Albert Einstein: “When you sit with a nice girl for two hours you think it’s only a minute, but when you sit on a hot stove for a minute you think it’s two hours. That’s relativity.

Happiness is also relative. Kids were happily playing in mud puddles for centuries before Sesame Street came on. A Sesame Street child forced to play with only mud puddles would be less happy, but a mud puddle child might be delighted with the change. Relative.

This is the entire logic behind "saving oneself" for marriage; the truism that ignorance really can be blissful. Neither you, me nor Diesel are ignorant about the reality of varying sexual preferences. I always support individual choice as long as no one is hurt and all can legally consent.

That said, tell me I'm wrong and that Diesel doesn't run around attacking innocent people as a form of displaced aggression or that he doesn't have a LGBTQ chip on his shoulder.

Don't read things that aren't there. He's a man. The whole cisgender thing. WTF?

I learned gender identity theory in college 20 years ago. Micawber at least admitted that he's old and doesn't keep up with it. What's your excuse? When you say, "WTF," when someone tells you he's cisgender, you may as well be a magtard.

There are currently 1,965 Deaths/1M pop in the USA.

That's a lot.

If we divide 1,000,000 by 1,964 we get a bit more than 509.

That means 1 out of every 509 Americans has died of Corona.

Those are real numbers. Math doesn't lie or spin.

It's getting to the point where you need to ask yourself:

(And this is especially true if you are not vaccinated)

"Do you feel lucky?"

i just lost a cousin who lives in ohio from covid..............she didnt trust the vacine
took her family to Fl for vacation now shes gone............52 yrs old.

Hello Dutch,

Wouldn't be an issue if there were only a billion humans on the planet.

Poverty produces overpopulation.

Greedy capitalism has no interest in poverty reduction.

In the case of the greedy capitalist right wing talk pundits like Tucker Carlson, there is more money to be made by blaming the poor for their own condition than there is by advocating for a sensible solution.

And during the pandemic there is more money to be made by essentially telling people they should help the pandemic spread, than by urging them to do the right thing.

And the really dumb thing about greedy capitalism is it prevents capitalism from doing so much better. If we reigned in the pandemic, the economy would do better. When we reduce poverty, the economy does better. It's so ironic. Greed prevents more success.

Fighting over the water hole when we could be finding other sources of water with a concerted cooperative united effort.

Interesting thoughts. Agreed overpopulation results in poverty; there's only so much stuff to go around and, by nature, smart people prepare for the future by conserving resources for themselves for later use. Anyone who reads history can see it's full of war, pestilence and famine. Survivors plan for the future.

No doubt there's a class for everything.

Dude, all you are doing is proving my assessment correct. You don't discuss. You don't teach. You only insult. Now tell me how great person you really are and how wrong I am about you. LOL

I did teach you. You're just incapable of learning. I explained to you what cisgender is. Your high school response was, "WTF".

Dude, posting insults and false accusations against people isn't teaching them. No doubt you grew up being taught it was and that's among your basic issues.

Being gay shouldn't be a problem because it's no one else's business. It's only when someone makes it their business that it becomes a problem. I'm against bias for many reasons but mostly because it's illogical. There's no purpose for it except for some lameass fuckwad to feel better about themselves.

The people who abused you did it and now you are doing it to others, including me. Your choice.

Bitch, you have posted insults throughout this and every other thread you have ever participated in.

You're also bouncing all over the place. Why are you talking about gay now?

Which part of this post offended you?

Cisgender relates to gender, not sexual orientation. Hence "gender". It means that a person identifies as their biological birth sex. I am a pansexual, cisgender male.

The reverse is also reality.

Poverty produces overpopulation.

Virtually all the excess population growth is in the poorest regions of the globe.

When the economic condition improves for people they stop having too many babies within a generation or two.

The well off have right around 2 children per couple. That is ideal for sustaining current population levels.

I forget who turned me onto this, but it came from a scientific study. The results are basically irrefutable.

I used to think we would have to make laws like China tried to rein in population growth. No. Not needed. What we need to do is eliminate poverty. That has the added benefit besides producing a thriving economy of also ending runaway population growth.

It simply underscores the importance of attacking poverty with a worldwide zeal.

Most people, except PoliTalker, have used insults.

I confess to being able to insult as good as anyone. Unlike you, however, that's not what I'm all about. You've had multiple opportunities to discuss what you learned in your gender identity theory class yet your desire here is to focus upon the bias you have against me and anyone else who disagrees with you regardless how minor.

In short, you're not on JPP to chit-chat about gender identity and/or cultural changes. You're here to displace your aggression as previously stated.

Thanks. I understand and agree with the sociological model, but the reality is the when there are more consumers than consumables, then there is poverty.
Worse is one group is allowed to hoard over the others.

The solution is to increase the amount of consumables. The Star Trek world of unlimited energy and matter conversion. After that it's a matter of raw materials and space...which there is a near infinite amount off planet.

You didn't ask me about my gender identity theory class. I don't schizophrenically launch into a tangent. Would you like to know?

I have about 7k posts here. Go through all of them. I think I spend about equal time telling dumb fucks that they are dumb fucks and "chit chatting" about gender identity, cultural changes, sexual orientation, minority discrimination, race relations, indigenous sovereignty, and foreign perspectives about the US and Americans. If you could spray a cold hose on your incessant need to be an obnoxious, arrogant asshole hellbent on trolling other posters and preaching to them with authority you don't own, you and I would probably be able to have a neutral dialogue. Instead, you're mind numbingly repetitive, determined to tell people what they are and what opinions they're allowed to have, and way more self confident than you should be.

But back to gender identity since you suddenly appear curious. I think it's a fascinating concept. Here's a little primer: Gender is not the same as sex. Sex relates to a person's reproductive function and is usually defined as female or male. Gender is a cultural concept that tends to describe people according to characteristics that classify commonly as more or less feminine and more or less masculine.

Gender identity is the relationship between a person's perception of her own gender and the perception of others. The term was coined in the 1960s, two decades before I was born, so I still have to roll my eyes at least one time when people claim that any of this is "new".

Anyway, people who associate the female/male sex with the female/male gender, respectively, are considered binary. People who understand human sexuality better comprehend the range of genders and are considered non-binary. People whose gender matches with their birth sex are cisgender. I was born a male because of my reproductive system and I identify as a male according to common cultural understanding of what a male is, so I am cisgender. Transgender people were born as one sex and identify from a gender perspective as the other.

Then, of course, there is a wide range of genders between cisgender and transgender the same way there is a wide range of sexual orientations between homosexual and heterosexual. There are tons more words and terms, which I realize inexplicably bother or annoy some people, but that was sort of Day 1 of that class.

It's the only college course I took dedicated to gender identity theory, but I did take some other classes on human sexuality that all touched on gender to some extent.

I'll finish with this: It's not overly politically correct to support and encourage a "rainbow" of terminology when we're discussing areas of human behavior. We are that complex. It's not commie professors brain washing our youth to elevate a snowflake-safe space-socialist platform. It's assigning language to the reality of the human condition.

I live every year on three continents. I think I have a relatively wide perspective. Americans view things in binary terms to an intellectually crippling degree. To make this topical, I blame a lot of that on our political system. One is red or blue, Republican or Democrat, right or wrong, black or white, gay or straight, male or female. That's not the way the world works; and everyone with two firing brain cells knows that. Each of us individually and collectively has a nearly incomprehensible range of preferences, desires, moods, emotions, proclivities, thoughts, and behaviors.

Like I said before, I think gender is a fascinating topic. I encourage you to explore it if it interests you. I'm guessing you're also a cisgender male, but it never hurts to understand other people according to their own terms.

Capitalism takes care of that. Where demand is created, capitalism seeks to meet it with supply, thus creating jobs and tax revenue.

It increasingly looks like things are going to get a lot worse as a result of our idiotic Max Vax program using low quality vaccines. Gert explains why here:

The current situation is highly problematic as ALL segments of the population will dramatically suffer from a situation where anti-S Abs still bind strongly enough to suppress the vaccinee’s innate immune response against non-mutable, highly conserved Coronavirus (CoV) motifs while no longer being able to sufficiently neutralize highly infectious variants. Instead, poor binding affinity of anti-RBD (receptor-binding domain) Abs to Sars-CoV-2 S protein as a result of mutations in the N-terminal domain (NTD) could tip the scale in favor of infection-enhancing Abs and thereby make vaccinees prone to suffering Ab-dependent enhancement (ADE) of Covid-19 disease (1) (Liu et al., 2021; Yahi N et al., 2021).

Viral resistance to these S-specific Abs is a terrifying thought as spike protein is not only required but sufficient for enabling CoV infectiousness and pathogenicity (Belouzard S, 2012; Weiss and Navas-Martin, 2005). This underscores the importance for each and every Public Health authority to look beyond the end of their nose to understand where this train is heading instead of focusing on intermediate stations (snapshots!) that – in contrast to the end station - look extremely different depending on a number of population-specific environmental and human influences.

The good news is that the latest educated guess is that 1/3 of Americans had SARS-COV2 interacting with their immune systems last year, and that this very fit Delta version is ripping through the population. On a societal basis our Immune systems are learning.

Nothing wrong with new words.

OTOH, the Inuit have about 40-50 words for snow and the Swedes about 25. To date, I've never seen or heard of one of them going berserk because who lived elsewhere didn't know those words. Perhaps your college education and world travels have taught you differently.

Agreed there's nothing wrong with new words, but there's a lot wrong with condemning people because they are slow to understand or even refuse to convert to the new terminology. There are various reasons why this would be. Most, but not all, reasons of which reflect poorly on the person not learning. Better, IMO, to just help spread new terminology as if one were helping a foreigner with in the US understand something.

From a science POV, I know sexuality is buried so deep into mammalian wiring that it's still poorly understood. We don't know why some people have various sexual behaviors and it's a popular area of study.

From societal POV, what happens between consenting adults is nobody's business. That's a two-way street.
