1/6 panel to hear from Raffensperger, others Trump pushed

The committee is outlining how the Trump campaign and Trump himself laid the groundwork for his followers to directly target state election officials, even sharing their personal cellphone numbers on social media and encouraging people to call them. One Michigan Republican told the committee that he received “just shy of 4,000 text messages in a short period of time” after the Trump campaign posted his number online.

The country is going to Hell in a handbasket and what are the Democrats doing? Trying to impeach Trump a third time...

You choose to be ignorant.

I choose to be both rational and pragmatic. NO OUTCOME the Jan 6 committee obtains--even a major felony conviction of Trump--will help them come November. The committee is ABSOLUTELY IRRELEVANT and wasting the Democrat party's time when they should be focused on fixing the nation not fucking Trump.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House 1/6 committee is set to hear from the caretakers of American democracy — elections workers and local officials — who fended off Donald Trump’s pressure to overturn the 2020 presidential election, at times despite frightening personal attacks.

The hearings investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack at the U.S. Capitol resume Tuesday with a focus on Trump’s efforts to undo Joe Biden’s victory in the most local way — by leaning on officials in key battleground states to reject ballots outright or to submit alternative electors for the final tally in Congress. The pressure was fueled by the defeated president’s false claims of voter fraud which, the panel says, led directly to the riot at the Capitol.

What time is it on?

Awww... The butthurt is getting to you. You know I'm correct. Nothing the Jan 6 committee does will help the Democrats politically. It's a losing proposition every way you look at it.

If they achieve nothing, then they wasted the nation's and Democrat party's time.
If they achieve everything they want, and nail Trump to the floorboards for felonies, all they do is enrage Trump's base against them while doing nothing to motivate voters to vote Democrat. They achieve nothing outside of getting Trump. And, revenge has no value.

No matter the outcome, the Democrats lose on pushing Jan 6 as an issue when they should be focused on inflation, the economy, supply chain issues, gas prices, the border crisis, and foreign affairs. The Democrats brought this loser strategy on themselves.

Your choice to be ignorant is not my concern.

Bowers(Republican who is the speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives)testifies that Trump asked him to hold a hearing at the Arizona State Capitol to investigate the allegations of election fraud. Bowers says he did not believe that the evidence "merited a hearing, and I did not want to be used as a pawn.” Bowers adds that he later told Trump, “You are asking me to do something against my oath and I will not break my oath.”

Bowers says that Giuliani told him, “We’ve got lots of theories; we just don’t have the evidence.” He speculates that Giuliani’s utterance may have been a gaffe, but it could still be taken as an admission that Trump’s allies knew they didn’t have evidence to support their election fraud claims.

Get lost you pathetic, ignorant fool.

“Did you ever receive from him that evidence, either during the call, after the call or to this day?” asked Adam Schiff, the Democratic House representative leading the questioning.

“Never,” replied Bowers. Giuliani then came on the call to demand that Bowers “would allow an official committee at the capitol so that they can hear this evidence, and that we can take action thereafter.”

“I refused. I said up to that time that the circus, I called it circus, had been brewing with lots of demonstrations, both in the counting center (and) at the capitol,” Bowers said. “And I didn’t want to have that in the House.”

“Look, you are asking me to do something that is counter to my oath,” Bowers said to their demands that he act to change the state’s vote. “You’re asking me to do something against my oath, and I will not break my oath.”

Makes ZERO difference to the eventual outcome. No matter what evidence is presented, the potential outcomes remain the same, and they all result in negative outcomes for the Democrats.
