U.S. election laws date back to Article 1 of the Constitution. This gave states the responsibility of overseeing federal elections.
Right, you still don't understand the US Constitution.

I understand you never read the US Constitution.
Wrong, can you read what I posted? Did you go to the link, you are wrong just admit it!
Congress has the authority, under a number of
constitutional amendments, to enforce prohibitions against specific
discriminatory practices in all elections, including federal, state and local
elections. For example, constitutional amendments prohibit voting
discrimination on the basis of race, color, or previous condition of
servitude (Fifteenth Amendment), sex (Nineteenth Amendment), and age
(Twenty-sixth Amendment). In addition, the Equal Protection Clause of
the Fourteenth Amendment provides that no state shall “deny to any
person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

Notwithstanding the state role in elections, Congress has authority to
affect the administration of elections in certain ways. Congressional
authority to legislate in this area derives from various constitutional
sources, depending upon the type of election. With regard to the
administration of federal elections, Congress has constitutional authority
over both congressional and presidential elections.
• Congress’ authority to regulate congressional elections derives
primarily from Article I, Section 4, Clause 1 of the Constitution (known
as the Elections Clause). The Elections Clause provides that the states
will prescribe the “Times, Places and Manner” of congressional
elections, and that Congress may “make or alter” the states’ regulations
at any time, except as to the places of choosing Senators.

When that happens call me, otherwise states control the right until you can get all elections federally controlled which is what they want! Voter ID does none of that!
One day you'll stop sucking Jihadist cock long enough to 'splain that, Lucy.he believes in Jewish cavemen

Judaism originated in the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, which first appeared in the Levant around the 9th century BCE. The religion morphed into its current form in the 6th century BCE, evolving from the worship of a state god based in a polytheistic worldview into that of a one ‘true’ God, codified in the Bible. If it is today followed by an estimated 11–14 million people, its two successor faiths – Christianity (1st century CE) and Islam (7th century CE) – are the world’s most popular, with a combined 3.8 billion adherents.
With about 1/3rd of Americans openly hating America, actively hostile to the rule of law and pushing for a “charismatic” dictator, for the first time in my life, I wonder if democracy will survive, will America as one Nation exist in 10 years?
I think the next three years will decide.
you're just stupid
I think you're right. And I agree that the US has never known a crisis of democracy like this since the Civil War -- and I could make a strong case that this is worse because the Confederacy believed in democracy more than Republicans do.
Yes, the Republicans are a worse, more dangerous, more traitorous group of people than the people who actually took up arms to shoot Americans to fight for their own freedom and independence. What the Republicans want to do is worse than that. They also threaten us with armed battle regularly, but they're too fat, stupid, and lazy to actually do it. Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and Stonewall Jackson are all piles of shit rotting in hell right now, but they're saints over the Trumpists.
This year's and 2024's elections will settle the destiny of the US.
You are just clueless as to what is happening, or at least what they were trying to do! They wanted to cement in place the same voting regulations as last elections, where they cheated their asses off with mail in no validation for signature ballots!
Mail voting is very safe. Many states have been doing it for many years without problem.
Not absentee ballots, that is not what I am talking about.
I did not write "absentee ballots."
The mail in ballots required no proof of signature this last election! They want that to be permanent!
Look, Trump lost. tired of this shit
Look he lost because of those Bull shit ballots, that were manufactured through that provision cupcake!
