Richard Grenell, whom Mitt Romney chose last month as his presidential campaign’s national security and foreign policy spokesman, stepped down from his post Tuesday, suggesting that the conservative backlash over his sexuality prevented him from being effective in his role.


Grenell, who is openly gay, said: “My ability to speak clearly and forcefully on the issues has been greatly diminished by the hyper-partisan discussion of personal issues".

Widely known in conservative circles, Grenell was named President George W. Bush’s spokesman to the United Nations in 2001 , and served as communications director under four U.S. ambassadors to the United Nations, including John R. Bolton, who is among his strongest supporters.

Approve of homosexuality? How would anyone disapprove? Homosexuality like heterosexuality is what it is and occurs throughout animal/creature world. I don't believe anyone has any right to approve or disapprove and I think that attitude prevails broadly across the liberal spectrum. Don't approve of homosexuality? Bullshit.
 
Matthew J. Franck, director of the William E. and Carol G. Simon Center on Religion and the Constitution at the Witherspoon Institute, called Grenell a “loose cannon” with a passion for the “gay agenda.”

“My problem is that by his own description he is an ardent activist for same-sex marriage who went to go work for a candidate who wants to defeat same-sex marriage. It doesn’t look good to the people that Romney needs support from to have an advocate for same-sex marriage in such a high-profile position,” Franck said.

“The Romney campaign needs to be unequivocally opposed to same-sex marriage and to appear to be. The campaign has remedied a problem that was bound to get worse.”

Grenell has made a particular crusade of the marriage issue, with a kind of unhinged devotion that suggests a man with questionable judgment.

And when the Obama State Department is already moving to elevate the gay-rights agenda to a higher plane than religious freedom in the foreign policy of the United States, it is reasonable to wonder whether Grenell, after taking such a prominent place in the Romney campaign’s foreign-policy shop, would be in line for an influential State posting where he could pursue his passion for that same agenda.

No, seriously. I hate them (my bad!) . Who is like God to speak for God? If God hated disobedience, he would have designed us not to disobey...instead he gave us "free will", and proclaimed to judge us accordingly. God doesn't possess human qualities, sometimes we possess divine qualities.

the reason that i try not to hate is that the hate only harms me

treating people that claim to speak for god as fools and buffoons is more cogent

I get that.....by "hate", I mean I remove myself from the equation. I avoid fools, at all costs.
 
According to the Bible God doesn't hate anybody, those people are mental defective knuckle dragging attention whores.

I think about all the evil things that have been done or perpetrated in the name of God, or justified by scripture. I shudder.
