Christianity is on the decline in America.

Have you read the Bible?

I've read some fiction, but not everything.....whats your point ?

Christians aren't circumcising little girls......
Christians aren't stoning anyone to death.....
Christians aren't cutting the heads from infidels......
Christians aren't clamoring for the annihilation of Jews......
Christians aren't killing their children for "honor" of the family or changing religions

It's a useless observation, and if held across the board would stunt science and progress. You know with certainty that either the Christian God is real or not. Agnosticism is an exercise in futility.

Religion and the belief in God has stunted progress and science more than Agnosticism or Atheism, in my opinion. It is still holding the human race back.

Yes, but their books advocate such and if it wasn't for secularism, who knows what they would be doing. It wasn't that long ago that they were burning witches in The USA. There are those that would return to killing homosexuals and adulterers, but thank goodness for the sense of the Godless Heathens.

Really ?......guess they didn't like all that advancement.....most of them are still living in the Dark Ages......covering up women like they are too fuckin' ugly to set eyes on, stoning people buried up to heads, circumcising young girls, chanting 5 times a day like superstitious fools....

Its not that they didn't like the advancement. After the fall of the Ottoman empire(which was in fact a Germanic/Muslim empire), the Muslims have been oppressed ever since, and not given the opportunity to advance.

Also the covering up of woman's faces is also recorded in early Christianity. Especially of virgins. The bowing down to the ground was also in fact a Jewish practice. The only difference is that the Jews bowed towards Jerusalem and the Muslims bow towards Mecca.

To some degree, you're right.......

It has also brought enemies together, it has been the been the reason the west has been able to
draft civil law that has allowed communities to grow and people having different values to coexist and tolerate one another for thousands of years.....except
it seems for many Muslims that still strive for world conversion through force, terror and intimidation, placing little or no value for their own
lives or the lives of their children or the lives of strangers ........

The truth will set you free

I do read history, especially on women' rights.

It is my contention that atheist shamed Christians into ending slavery.

Do a google on the issue, there are quite a few articles on he issues.

Atheists?? There were not too many Athiests at the time. You can suggest it was the deist(The enlightenment people) but even they claimed to believe in GOD, if not only for public consumption.

It was actually Christians via proper interpretation of the Gospel that led to their release in Britain.

Woman's rights is a another subject. I am speaking in regards top slavery.

The Wops don't need conspiracy theories to make themselves to look silly. Technically, the Knights were a response to anti-Catholic laws and conditions in late 19th Century America, but the McGivney obviously got the organizational concept from the Masons. I personally find the Mafia repulsive, and the Sons of Italy (I know some members) actually forbid membership to anyone with a criminal record, because they are embarrassed by the history of Italian lawlessness.

WOW! Is there any race you like? "Wops" are one of the most advanced modern civilizations the world has known. Before Italians came to North America they were living in straw huts.lol I think it was a combination. yes a reason was because Catholics were being discriminated upon(if I am not mistaken for insurance) They started off selling car insurance for Catholics(Correct me if I am wrong).

Well the Mafia is just muscle for the true people that run the world. The elites. The global banker and investors. Actually they forbid anyone with a criminal record because it is bad for their image. Even in the higher levels of the Mafia. If you have a criminal record you are denied membership.

Exactly, but Jesus taught, love your enemy and turn the other cheek, so, for me, it was shocking to learn that Christians used the sword so readily to convert others.

When you understand it was Pagan kings and emperors hand picking the Christian leaders, you will start to get the bigger picture.

Get real, girl.....burning witches....a one time aberration of a small town run by a few fanatics....a far cry from the wide spread murders committed by Mulsims all over the world, even now in the west....

besides, I see nothing wrong with burning witches anyway....lol

and please leave the prophesies to the seers.....you've no idea if killing homosexuals and adulterers would ever become a fad in the land of Christians......they didn't do it
2000 years ago that we know of.....

There were more than you realize, they were either Atheist or Agnostic and secularism was taking hold and people were realizing religion was a farce. People didn't claim it openly ecause there were still those steeped in ignorance who were hanging people for their lack of faith or challenging Scripture.

I do know this, it is one of the reasons I am no longer Christian, it is all man made.

I doubt "it was all man made". Even though I do not belong to any Christian denomination, I still consider myself a Christian and value the principles preached in the Gospel. Jesus is till the ultimate role model of all humanity. The problem is man interprets Scripture to their advantage(The leadership) and not as it was intended to be interpreted at the time(for the people). Same thing with the American constitution.

Doesn't 80% of the US population claim to be Christian or at least believe in some God ????

Any links to back that? Agnostics are not necessarily Atheists and neither are secularists. The freemasons were heading the secularist movement. And they were challenging the dogma's of the religion(not necessarily Scripture but the Church's interpretation of Scripture). Many of which were Jewish who seen the Catholic Church as a threat to their beliefs. Once they weakened the Church's authority? Like Napoleon did? They were able to take over. Though the Church still maintained a level of influence with the French people, so Napoleon had to bargain with them.

I should have said the killing of witches because they were hanged or drowned more often than burned at the stake.
It happened all over the USA, not just in Salem.
