Ahhh the Knights of Colombus. The Vatican's response to freemasonry. They set up their own little boys club. I take it your a Catholic? Not a very good one I see with a name like Carlos spicy weiner.lol I'm glad you find conspiracies a hoot! Did you find deaths caused by the Mafia to be hysterical also? Dont you know? The Mafia is a myth. A conspiracy against Italians. It doesn't exist. At least that was the original story. And the Hell's Angels are not into illegal activity. They are just a bike club.LOL Ask any of them. They will tell you!
If you mean freedom to watch porn, freedoom to be unfaithful, freedoom to steal legally from your neighbor, freedoom to listen to or watch stuff that corrupts your mind? You'd be right!
Peaceful societies existed before laws?ROTFLOL!!! You are mistaken. No not the 10 commandments alone. The entire message of the Gospel in regards to Christian conduct.
Yes there is no doubt that these things became abused. Though that is not the fault of religion. But of human nature. Before laws. Woman had no rights. Woman would be raped on a regular basis. The caveman would grab them by the hair and take them home.
If you studied your history it was in fact CHRISTIANITY that freed the slaves. Go study English history and do your homework. I think the rights of women was agreed upon by most. Though as usual, evil woman have taken advantage of their freedoms. You seen the slut walks around the world right?
The institution of marriage is pretty much gonna be extinct soon.
It depends on what rights you are talking about. If your talking about the slut walks? Ya those are the athiests and non-religious leading the charge. Not believers.
Your calling the sack of Rome by Mongols and Germanic barbarians of Rome an improvement?LOL!!!!!
Germany embraced Christianity a LONG time ago. And did well considering the amount of Corruption. The Germanic people went from war mongering barbarians to a semi-civil culture thanks to Christianity.
You think France is better off with a secular government? LOL Is that why they are saying they have to increase work hours and cut vacation time? Is that why there are periodically riots?
I'm sure some things are better with the evolution of man/woman in general, but many things are much worse.
The Masons have periodically been a fad throughout American history, such as during the time of the Founding. Early on, however, there was a backlash, such as the Anti-Masonic Party, and the backlash was not brought on by sympathy for large orthodox churches such as the Catholic Church. It was brought about because Mason conspiracy theories seem to be pretty easy to spread.
As a Catholic, I know that the Masons in the US used to be prejudiced against my Church, but they were living in a country which overall produced a great deal of anti-Catholicism. Unfortunately, the Papacy has not quite forgiven the Masons, and still places a ban on Catholic membership (which many people simply ignore).
Screw the agnostics. Or not, I hold no particular opinion one way or the other, because I really do not know for sure...
Christianity conquered by the sword, how is that not barbaric?
Christianity conquered by the sword, how is that not barbaric?
Virtually all religions conquered by the sword, especially Islam and Christianity (Catholicism).
The only religions that seem chill are Buddhism/Taoism/Jainism and the like.
What is wrong with admitting you don't know something, instead of making up "truths". There are many things that humans don't "know".
I find it more intelligent than claiming you know or denying there is a possibility.
Considering that people in general were ALL barbaric back then, the Christians were less barbaric. The Christians conquered and civilized much of the Barbaric world and The Muslims did the rest.
Yes....it is a matter of perspective and relativity.....but
weren't the Mulisms the barbarians at that time, much like they are now ? .lol.
No, they were advancing science, mathematics and medicine when Christians were in the Dark Ages. They have not always been like they are now and even now, not all of them are Stone Aged.

Really ?......guess they didn't like all that advancement.....most of them are still living in the Dark Ages......covering up women like they are too fuckin' ugly to set eyes on, stoning people buried up to heads, circumcising young girls, chanting 5 times a day like superstitious fools....

All of them pray five times a day, not all of them do the other things. They have their radical sects as well as their moderates, but you lump them all together in your ignorance.
If thats true, then its my mistake.....I thought they all adhered to the same Holy Book....Rajam (stoning to death)
Volume 8, Book 82, Number 816: Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
'Umar said, "I am afraid that after a long time has passed, people may say, "We do not find the Verses of the Rajam (stoning to death) in the Holy Book," and consequently they may go astray by leaving an obligation that Allah has revealed. Lo! I confirm that the penalty of Rajam be inflicted on him who commits illegal sexual intercourse, if he is already married and the crime is proved by witnesses or pregnancy or confession." Sufyan added, "I have memorized this narration in this way." 'Umar added, "Surely Allah's Apostle carried out the penalty of Rajam, and so did we after him."
Saheeh Muslim
Book 017, Number 4194: 'Abdullah b. 'Abbas reported that 'Umar b. Khattab sat on the pulpit of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said: Verily Allah sent Muhammad (may peace be upon him) with truth and He sent down the Book upon him, and the verse of stoning was included in what was sent down to him. We recited it, retained it in our memory and understood it. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) awarded the punishment of stoning to death (to the married adulterer and adulteress) and, after him, we also awarded the punishment of stoning, I am afraid that with the lapse of time, the people (may forget it) and may say: We do not find the punishment of stoning in the Book of Allah, and thus go astray by abandoning this duty prescribed by Allah. Stoning is a duty laid down in Allah's Book for married men and women who commit adultery when proof is established, or it there is pregnancy, or a confession.
It's a useless observation, and if held across the board would stunt science and progress. You know with certainty that either the Christian God is real or not. Agnosticism is an exercise in futility.
