Lead by example...

And if you believe everything he tells you, you're nothing but a gullible fool, on top of being a hack and liar.......

Did he tell you he was gonna close down Gitmo's Camp Delta too....?..................................................you're a nitwit.

Deflection? I think so, hack liar fool moron nitwit.

Who is Obama demanding to voluntarily pay more taxes?

The key word there would be "voluntarily" and it would be a request not a demand.

Obama supposedly wants to use the force of government to force "them" to do what he supposedly believes is "right", but unwilling to do himself, that is a demand.

And again, simple as possible for the slow.

If you believe something is right, the measure of the man is whether you do it yourself. I believe that to lead, you should do what is right even when everybody isn't looking, let alone when you know everybody will be watching.

Yes, you do understand! Now allow me to paraphrase your sentence and you will see how your logic applies to Obama as well;

Now, had Obama insisted other people voluntarily pay more taxes but wouldn't pay more taxes himself, that would be hypocrisy.
.

Is that about the poster, or the topic?

Have you realized yet how stupid you were to start posting that, or do I have to keep pointing this out?

I generally ignore his childish attempts to deviate from the topic, I only respond to him when he comes close to making an interesting or thoughtfull post.

So, Bush SHOULD have gone to Iraq w/ a musket before ordering the troops there, because he thought it was right.

You are still missing 2 things, completely, by a wide margin: the difference between collective action & individual action, and the fact that paying a higher tax individually is not in & of itself a "good."

A musket? How the fuck long ago did we first invade that country? I know its been a while...

Childlike simplicity doesn't become you. An equivalent would be trying to force NATO to attack but refusing to supply forces.

If it is not right to pay more, then it is not right to force others to pay more.

You're still not getting the collective action thing.

It's threads like these that highlight just how deep in the bullshit Damo and SF really are. They like to pretend that they aren't right-wing freaks but they betray themselves with this nonsense.

Damo, just repeating "childlike" isn't doing much for you. Just an FYI there.

Actually, my musket analogy was the equivalent - because individual action in that case would be just as empty symbolically and ineffective as Obama paying more taxes himself. That's where the whole collective action thing comes in.

With your NATO analogy, an equivalent might be if Obama was trying to get a group of people in his bracket to voluntarily pay more, but didn't himself.

Stay on point.

LMAO... deep in the bullshit? I think you and Onceler have proven how deep in the shit you are. Especially Onceler with his whole Bush should have carried a musket into Iraq failed equivalency.

You apologists are just avoiding the fact that your messiah says one thing and does another.

You mean like Warren Fucking Buffett?

Wow, DH and Onceler are really cleaning clocks around here (and yes I did make a typo there, which Thank God I caught).

I mean, this is pretty embarrassing for Sf and Damo.

It's not a failed analogy. The only way an invasion or military action works is w/ the collective - with a certain # of men & resources from the military. By Damo's assertion, if you think something is "right," you should do it yourself first to lead, even if it is entirely ineffectual.

The only way people in higher brackets paying more taxes works toward the goal Obama has in mind is if they all do it. His paying on his own would be just as ineffectual. Collective action is needed.

LMAO... the Buffet rule would bring in about $47B over a decade. That is completely ineffectual as well. It is a complete fail on his part. Like I stated before, your BDS/ODS combo is quite amusing. I know it is indeed hard to tell the two apart in terms of performance for this country. So I do understand why you continue to hold them up to one another.

And you are not getting the leadership thing. I understand that you want to give him a pass, it's natural. Even though you aren't voting for him it is in your nature to defend him in all things. This isn't really that big of a deal, just an example of how he leads through force and not by example and will only do what he believes is "right" when he is forced to do it. Not good traits for a leader, IMO. Oh, wait you are voting for him. I thought for a second I was addressing Onceler. It's doubly in your nature to defend him, because you think of it as a "team" effort.

Did Obama ask Warren Fucking Buffett to voluntarily pay more taxes? I must have missed that.

No, the retard is asking that people in his bracket be taxed more, but won't lead by example. He came to mind when you offered your tax comparison to the NATO analogy. I just wanted to take the opportunity to remind everyone what an asswhole Buffett is...
