NBC fires producer over edited Zimmerman 911 call

The guy is at the very least, guilty of manslaughter. I believe first degree murder, but I doubt that can be proved in the end. A 17 yo boy doesn't get to live.

I agree with the above.

The rest of this is all wanking. I could give a shit.

You may not give a shit, but I think you might want to rethink that. When you deliberately incite others in such a manner it is reckless and only fans the flames of the racial tensions that already existed. Such irresponsible acts could easily have led to further violence. That I would think, should concern you.

So you didn't even read what NBC had to say, but yet you pretend they have done enough. Bullshit. There are no separate rules of accountability based on income. If you deliberately race bait, deliberately paint someone as a racist, it is not only your job that should be at risk. Pretending they should get to hide in obscurity after a blatant attack on Zimmerman because by golly this is a tough economy is ridiculous.

regardless of what you heard/read that NBC did... do YOU think it is possible that the producer 'accidentally' edited the tape in that way? are you that naive?

Why would anyone even find the need to "edit" a 911 tape, if their discussion is to be about what's on the 911 tape?
This is why I don't understand why the liberals have become so quiet about this, unless i'ts not about the truth; but instead is about vigilante justice and they're the ones with the rope.

I'm not convinced that even manslaughter applies.

Absolutely absurd.

First you criticize people for going after the wrong "target" and tell them there really is no reason to question their objectivity, then later tell another that it is ONLY their objectivity you should question and not that of the producer that they fired.

Interesting argument you are having with yourself here, Damo. I never said anything about anyone's objectivity at all. I merely commented on your over-the-top post that the fact that NBC fired the producer responsible for the misleading edit shows that "NBC has totally given up on even trying to appear like they are impartial." Like I said, NBC can rightly be criticized, but that doesn't mean that anything anyone says that is critical is right. Your comment was well in the latter camp.

You need to learn what consistent means before starting in on this kind of inanity, or just step off the thread when you are about to make contrary posts like this. It really isn't helping your case to question the intelligence of others when you drop bombs like this so consistently.

So I consistently drop inconsistent bombs? Interesting. I don't really see the contradictory statements. Maybe you should directly quote me and post them next to one another.

I frankly don't care what anyone has to say. The guy is at the very least, guilty of manslaughter. I believe first degree murder, but I doubt that can be proved in the end.

LOL first degree murder? you think it was a premeditated murder while he was talking on the phone to 911? Stick to madmen threads darla...

Oh, so even worse, you are attacking me for pointing you to an article that highlights/enforces what I have been saying. Instead of addressing the points made, you wish to attack? Is that it Dung? You are too fucking pathetic to address the points? You have painted yourself in the corner with the 'they should remain anonymous, because by golly they have lost their job and that is enough' and so now you just blindly attack. Hilarious.

I'm not attacking you for posting it per se. Just that you posted it out of the blue without comment as if its import and significance were self-evident and it was a link to Don Fucking Cheadle saying stuff, which in and of itself I find hilarious because I think Don Cheadle is hilarious.

because the facts of the case are extremely dicey, prone to media manipulation, liberal heartstrings being pulled, anti-gun/anti-stand your ground law factions trying to make a point, and there is a possibility that trayvon jumped him.

No one has any concrete evidence as to what happened that night. It's all speculation and people are filling in the blanks as they see fit.

and when evidence is that murky, our system defaults to not-guilty/no charges being brought.

So only liberals feel pain in their hearts when a 17 yo boy has his life stolen from him and is in the ground, dead, forever?

That's very telling isn't it?

From the posts on this, I have to agree, but thanks for coming clean anyway.

I think that he stalked a young boy and then murdered him. Yes.

following someone is not against the law. this whole thing comes down to who made first contact, which is by far not a settled issue. also you are ridiculous. not even the most hardcore anti-zimmermans think this was a cold blooded 1st degree murder.

I read the Times article that said NBC investigated the incident and fired the producer responsible. That's enough for me. Also, I didn't say that there were separate rules of accountability. I said that the degree of accountability is proportional to income. I don't think that's a terribly controversial statement and your objection to it is just really weird.

Apparently, Dixie isn't the only one with a rise in his pants over the idea of a public flogging.

I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that the producer said it was an accident and NBC, not being omniscient like you and having no evidence to the contrary, just fired the producer without shipping him or her to GITMO for tor . . . enhanced interrogation to get the real truth.

You quite apparently didn't read it. Just as you didn't read what NBC wrote. Why bother commenting on anything if you are not even going to bother reading the information to begin with?

Had you read what Cheadle stated you would realize it is self evident why it was posted. He isn't just 'saying stuff'... again you belittle his comments when it is unlikely you even read them. As I stated, you are attacking him, attacking myself... all because you painted yourself in a corner with your moronic, 'they dun enuf' comments.

that is why this case needs to be investigated. we don't have many facts, we have shat. i don't know if this killing was justifiable or not, and neither do you.

darla, what I meant is that liberals are the type of people that cry over everything. They can't separate falsifiable evidence through their tears of perceived injustice. they don't think with their heads, only their hearts.

It's a classic "appeal to authority" only the "authority" is Don Fucking Cheadle. I don't care who you are, that's funny.

and it has been being investigated, the DA is doing exactly that. So far they seem to remain unconvinced, or at least realize that there is more complexity to this issue than "hurrr deerrrrrr kid with skittles killed!"
