problem for medical MJ and stoned while driving

while there are tests that can determined if a person has used mj within the last few weeks, they cannot tell if a person is stoned or not

this is a problem for medical mj users and potential legalization of mj

the proposed limit of 5 nanogram thc does not really tell if a person is stoned or too impaired to drive

bummer for legalization and medical use if driving...

Isn't that just as arbitrary as the .8 breathalyzer limit ? Why is it .8 and not .6 or .18

Cops can use the same sobriety test used prior to breathelizers to get the idiots.
That is not a bad for those serious about pot legslization, the 70 percent of republicans against, Obama's sellout of the cool community and big pharma/beer lobby are the top problems by a mile.

did you read the article?

the standard walk the line and other sobriety tests would be a good stop gap until a lingual test can be perfected

ps the first time i tried eating buddah butter, i got more stoned than ever and it lasted for the whole day (24 hours or more) - the lingual test looks like it would only show positive if someone had smoked mj recently - oh well

did you read the article?

gender, size and weight/height issues were mentioned

I believe it was John Candy who said it best...

Addressing Tom Hanks character in the 1984 comedy Splash-

"You see, drinking is a matter of algebraic ratio. How drunk you get is caused by the amount of alcohol you consume in relation to your total body weight. You see my point? It's not that you had too much to drink. You're just too skinny."

Don't need to reAd it, I have a phd in thc.
Are you saying its ok to drive stoned on eatables?

It is no more dangerous than people driving on benadryl or nyquil.

In fact, dopers are less likely to be dangerous. Its hard to hurt someone when you never get above 15 mph and sit for 20 mins waiting for the stop sign to change.

sorry, but benadryl and nyquil are dangerous for some people to drive under depending on their reaction to anti-allergens

thank you

i was thinking reference #8

where they got the .08 breathalyzer i do not know, but i would never use a breathalyzer, give me blood or urine...

There are Lawyers that say that no one should take the roadside breathalyzer; because they're unreliable and all they're good for, is to try and be used against you.
Same thing with the roadside "sobriety tests".

never us a breathalyzer if you wear cologne, use shaving lotion, use a breath spray or mouthwash or anything else with alcohol in it

i agree with you, in fact never use it at all

I've heard that they're not supposed to use a breathalyzer on you, even at the station, if your burp; becaue it's supposed to skew the results toward the positive side. Something about the stomach gasses contaminating the results.
Same if you've just thrown up.
