You do have a point, to some degree, about over use of Hitler/Nazi's diluting the historical significance of what happened in that regime.....if that's possible. It does blind us Americans to our own dirty hands in human rights that from a numerical standpoint are not as atrocious but from a moral standpoint is essentially the same moral failing. People often say we must learn from the Holocaust so that it doesn't happen here. Hell it did happen here. It may not have occured on the same scale nor was it as efficiently industrialized but by god it did happen here. Five million people anhilated in 100 years as opposed to 13 years. The big difference was the American Holocaust was far more affective in that Native American culture far more attenuated than Jewish culture was.
