calling a woman a slut is unacceptable
Yet a couple of the board righties insist she is a slut. Are they correct?

why should religious institutions be forced to do something that violates their religious beliefs?
IceDancer says it's not about cost, it's about the government forcing religious institutions to violate their beliefs by providing contraceptives.

I doubt for one moment that health insurance companies give a shit about such concerns.
If it is not about the cost why did she bemoan the cost? Regardless, what is wrong, is for her to appeal to the government to intrude on religious liberty for something that is not a constitutionally protected right- birth control.

That would be so cool......I can't wait to hear the slut on the witness stand telling the world about her sex life.....and then of course the men will have to testify too.....what a circus.....gonna be fun....

In my opinion, exercising my right under the First Amendment, Fluke is dirty, unitdy woman......i.e....a slut
Case fuckin' closed.
I find this whole debate to be seriously crazy, if a woman ended up pregnant surely that would be far more expensive for the health insurance companies?
We have an ongoing debate in the UK about Catholic adoption agencies being forced to allow homosexual couples to adopt children. They have mostly chosen to shut down rather than be confronted with law suits. I am actually on their side, they did a great deal of good and they shouldn't be penalised for their views.
It's not merely their views - it's their religiously (dogmatically) held beliefs. Here is an article that I thinks sheds a decent light onto the subject of the divide. It is not a matter of agreeing- but a matter of accepting that an opposite view is held. I think one very insightful aspect is that tolerance for opposing views and respect of that, must go both ways.
Thats probably why 9 out of 10 do cover it.....and that is not the point.....The point is , should a religious group, that has been historically against artificial birth control, be FORCED by the state to ignore that centuries old doctrine and obey the state......in violation of the US Constitution....
The 'debate' is smoke and mirrors to confuse the people as to the real issue, the Constitution.
poll is missing a choice.
c) i don't know sandra fluke, so how the fuck would I know?
rush didn't know her either, but it didn't stop him from bloviating about it for three days.

then i think you need to take that up with him, don't you? or do you believe that making general comments about 'righties' on this board will make everything better?

I've given the "righties" on the board literally dozens of chances to distance themselves from Rush. Instead, most have opted for apologism, and agreeing that Fluke is somehow a "slut."
So there.
dixie is so far right he could be holding hands with the left. Bravo, yeah, he's pretty much right with the exception of maybe a couple of things. Are Dixie and Blabo righties?
what, are you 9 years old or something?
