The Republican Party’s War on Women

That's a sucker's bet, Christie! Also, you've got to wonder if viagra is on the insurance plans okayed by the Church.

Actually, I think it is. The justification is that it's an aid to help procreation, if the man has a problem. Yep, that's why Bob Dole was shilling for it when he was 75, he and Elizabeth were still trying for an offspring. :D

Because it would be redundant.......we already had equal rights......at least before affirmative action and The Equal Pay Act requires that men and women in the same workplace be given equal pay for equal work. The jobs need not be identical, but they must be substantially equal. Job content (not job titles) determines whether jobs are substantially equal.

If the jobs need not be identical, then the pay need not be identical.....this is subjective, double talk, bullshit....

Take off the blinders. Women have never been paid equally for identical jobs and only a die-hard apologist would think otherwise.

Christie, I don't see why you brought up condoms earlier. Please tell me you understand the Church's attitude toward condoms compared with the pill (although, forbidding them along with every other contraceptive, of course).

I brought it up because all of these religious groups arguing about contraception are focusing on oral birth control, which is the province of women. I'm sick and tired of the Church's old men holding the woman responsible for anything pregnancy-related. It's like their thinking hasn't evolved since the Fall.

Yeah, I understand it. I don't know about Christie.

It's:

The Pill bad because it leads to slutty mcsluts freed from pregnancy worries having orgasms

Condoms good because old men can use them to protect against disease while buggering young boys.

What's the mystery here?

Nailed it!

Just thought I'd check. No, Christie, the Church holds the pill to be an abortive substance. As such, it specifically condemns the pill, while merely taking issue with other contraceptives on a general level. Pretty sure you knew this, already, but, whatever...

And when did condoms become specifically a male-related item? Do women no longer purchase condoms for themselves? Did they stop manufacturing vaginal condoms?

I guess the Church forgets that it takes two to make a baby and that when a couple has sex, both are equally responsible for the outcome of the act. Furthermore, all birth control pills are not abortifacients and if that's the explanation the Church is pushing, it's the wrong one. As for female condoms, you'll have to ask your single women friends because this isn't something I'm current on.

Q. How does the pill really work?
A. There are four ways the pill acts to stop sperm reaching an egg (ovum). First, the hormones in the pill try to stop an ovum being released from your ovary each month. This is known as the suppression of ovulation. Research has shown that neither the progesterone-only pill nor the combined progesterone-oestrogen formulations always stop ovulation.
Second, all formulations of the pill cause changes to the cervical mucus that your body produces. The cervical mucus may become thicker and more difficult for sperm to fertilize an ovum.
Third, all formulations of the pill cause changes to the lining of the womb (properly known as the endometrium). Under the influence of the chemicals in the pill, the lining of the womb doesn’t grow to the proper thickness. You will notice that your periods are lighter when you are on the pill. This is because the lining of the womb has not developed properly. But this change also means that the womb is not in the right stage of development to allow a fertilized egg to attach properly (this attachment process is known as implantation). This action of the pill will be discussed again in this booklet.
Fourth, the pill causes changes to the movement of the Fallopian tubes. This effect may reduce the possibility of the ovum being fertilised.

Actually, the only time I've ever come accross them was in sex ed in high school. They seemed ridiculously idiotic and cumbersome, and I was like, who the fuck would use those?

I was worried that you had some important info that I had missed out on. I was thinking, But, I got straight A's in sex ed!!!!!! Noooooooooooooo!!

I asked you first, windbag. Non-human vs human. Which one is it? Cite your sources.

The chronology of the posts shows YOU making all sorts of statements that I countered....and now that you don't have a leg to stand on, your demanding of others what YOU cannot/will not do yourself.

But more to the point, WTF is the non-human vs. human bullshit you keep squawking about? I really get tired of doing the homework for the willfully ignorant, but hope springs eternal:

After you read this, then do some research as to what point the State determines abortion illegal. When you're educated, then we can talk.
