Gas prices

sure....that is why you have no link.

why did you bitch and moan about gas prices under bush and now follow your fellow hack (onceler) in lock step....defending obama?

He doesn't need a link - just go to MSNBC & CNN.

The fact that you don't "see anything" speaks volumes about how you see the news in general, and the ideological (see: hack) prism that everything gets filtered through for you.

i actually did go to msnbc when i read his post....nothing, i repeat, nothing about gas prices on the entire front page.

i just clicked on cnn and their only comment about gas prices - "is 4$ gas coming soon"

stop being a hack onceler.

It's really just the nature of partisan politics. Sure there were Democrats who complained about gas prices under Bush and blamed Cheney and his meeting with energy execs who aren't saying anything now. Just as there were Republicans who didn't complain about Bush's excess spending but do about Obama's. It's basically the definition of partisan. It's ok when my guys do it and not when the others do. Almost everyone is partisan to some degree or another.

you have a good point. but has anyone on the right accused obama of rigging the gas prices? of being responsible for the high cost at the pump?

A nice voice of reason amid the pathology.

I think you are going to see the Republicans in Congress go after Obama on this issue. I read an article this weekend that stated people/families were going to have 'staycations' where they don't travel (very far) for vacation because of high gas prices. It will definitely become a political issue.

you might be right.

would you say the issue is as big as it was when bush was president?

Too early to tell if you ask me. Let these prices stay at this level for several months and it will be getting a lot more headlines.

There was a similar discussion on one of our local talk stations.

The headlines are still there. And waiting on that quote.

Any response to my substantive post or you just playing gotcha per usual?

LOL

Major cover stories on Fox, MSNBC & CNN right now - rising gas costs are the top headline on each. And those were just the 3 I checked.

Great call, Yurtsie. This thread couldn't be any more hilarious at this point.

the principal santa barbara newspaper and radio station are both going on about the rise in gas prices

blame the us and european sanctions against iran for the rise in prices

It's shocking to me that American soldiers died to keep the price this low and you traitors don't appreciate it. It'll be 5 gal in a couple years.

A few cents over $3 here. that is what you get for living in CA.

WTF? Seriously? Got bent over for $4.35 yesterday and that was for 89. I let the car get to empty so I had to go to the nearest station but the best I've seen here is in the $4.20's.
