Is it right to hate the sin of homosexuality?

Christians should be kind, patient, willing to forgive and gracious.

This does not mean wholesale acceptance and toleration of any behavior. No one tolerates unconditionally, God especially.

Even homosexuals themselves show intolerance when they say we shouldn’t be doing what we do.

Our society is intolerant of rapists, murders, thieves, as well as many other behaviors, and this is a good thing. We all have a moral system that discriminates against behaviors that we believe to be immoral, unjust, and wrong.

The real question is, is homosexuality right or is it wrong? However one answers this, they must appeal to a moral standard to make a judgment one way or the other (saying homosexuality is OK is making a judgment).

Our ultimate standard is God the Creator and what we believe to be His written revelation to mankind, the Bible.

If one rejects this standard then what standard can they appeal to?

What a strange concept. I highly doubt a timeless being who is all about love has any desire to be "feared."
 
Its always odd for me to see atheists tell me how I should live as a Christian.

I believe we Christians should live so as to be an example to others. We should teach and lead by example. I would no more try to legislate someone's private life than I would try to legislate their religion. Neither works.

I firmly believe that homosexuals are born that way. If their sexuality is innate, it is from God. Whether mankind misunderstood or intentionally perverted what we were told or taught. I do not hate anyone (or try not to). I certainly do not hate someone for who they are when it does no harm.

It works like this, the invisible man in the sky has a list on of ten things and if you do any of them he has designed an entire world full of fire and death and smoke where you will burn forever and ever until the end of time suffering in agony. But he loves you.

What is a sodomite? Is that the only translation from the original or is it the one that best suits you?
You are not very smart my single brain-celled friend, are you. If you wish people to follow your example, if you wish to lead the pack to a more god fearing future, take a tip from madison Avenue and use words and phrases that they understand.
What do you do when you are not afraid of your imaginary dictator in the sky?
You KNOW you are a member of a tiny minority. Why do you think that is? Is your particular deity an elitist god? Has he made most people stupid? Why would he do that?
