Scott Walker leads in Wisconsin recall poll

Rationalist

Hail Voltaire
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) is ahead in his likely recall election even as his campaign raises — and spends — millions of dollars in expectation of a tough race later this year.

According to a new Marquette Law School poll the governor leads Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, a likely candidate, 50 percent to 44 percent. He leads former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, the only declared Democratic candidate, 49 percent to 42 percent margin, former Rep. David Obey 49 percent to 43 percent and state Sen. Tim Cullen 50 percent to 40 percent.

But Mutt keeps telling us that because they got a million plus signatures that Walker is in big big big big trouble.

LOL If he wasn't in trouble, why is he facing a recall election? He's only the third Governor in US History to do so and the other two were recalled. Walker may win the recall but don't bullshit your self. If he wasn't in trouble he wouldn't be facing a recall election.

Tell us Mutt... what exactly is it that he has done that is deserving of a recall?

Again, a union force of 350k doesn't have to work to hard to get the necessary signatures to force a recall. So is he 'in trouble' or did the union just get 'pissy' because they are being forced to share some of the pain the private sector is taking?

This election highlights EXACTLY why Walker is correct to restrict union bargaining to where it is between the unions and the VOTERS rather than union and elected officials. The unions are going to do everything they can to get another bought and paid for Democrat in office.

Your parties problem... it is not just the hatred unions have for Walker that is needed. you also have to put forth a viable candidate. You will also have to convince a good chunk of the 2 million+ voters who DIDN'T sign the recall petitions. You will also have to convince the 1 million+ who did sign to actually go to the polls (a much harder task than getting them to sign the petition.)

He's corrupt, Koch brothers own him.

That's a moot (no pun intended) point. The fact is he is facing a recall election and that more then a million persons in his state are unhappy enough to sign a petition to recall him. This is not exactly a picture of a politician in a strong position.

and AGAIN... with 350k union members, how many signatures on average must they collect? Saying a million people are unhappy is also a misnomer. You don't know that. They may have signed to get the union thugs away from them. You don't know. But from the polls thus far, its not looking like the Dems are in a strong position.
