The 10 Most Racist Moments of the GOP Primary (So Far)

Uh, sorry, but there is racism, in damn near everything having to do with people like you.

LMAO... 'people like me'??? Do tell us all about what 'people like me' do that makes you think of racism?

I am smart, but unafraid to point it out.

I agree that you are intelligent, which I why I stated you have a lot to offer to this site. That said, your weakness is that you WANT to see racism in everything.

Age? Age has nothing to do with anything. Racism was going on before I was born, and probably will be going on after I'm gone. It certainly is going on presently, in all its' forms. And please, since you agree with Voltaire, identify the bullshit, as you're uniquely suited to do.

Yes, racism still exists and will likely exist long after we are both gone. That said, I think you are quite wrong to state that age is not a factor. It is. You demonstrate that on this very thread. We tell you how we interact with our friends and YOU TELL US that what we do and how we view things either CANNOT BE or that it is UNACCEPTABLE. Now it could be a regional thing rather than age... but somehow I doubt you are going to accept that either.

ROFLMAO... do tell us... what 'racist and bigoted' view do I promote?

Comments like that are EXACTLY what I was talking about with regards to you. You try and project racism on to everyone. You try and find racism in every situation.

poet, I am not trying to put words in your mouth. My interpretation of his comment is Republican = racist, Democrat = not racist

Really? Then why are you promoting a "racist and bigoted" viewpoint, ofttimes? If you don't align yourselves with the racists and bigots, then you wouldn't be "smeared" by association.

I really don't want to step in the middle of a dog fight here but I do want to address the bolded above. I have had several conversations with blackascoal who used to frequent this site and I have talked to poet as well, both of whom are well spoken individuals who espouse thier viewpoints very well. The big difference I can see is that BAC was an athiest. I am a conservative on several issues though so it makes very good sense that we would disagree on certain issues. When I read a statement like that above as well as other similar statements I get the idea that a person can't be conservative and not be racist. If that is the intent then I would have to disagree. Several of my friends of color would also disagree...but several of them were also supporters of JC Watts and other conservative politicians. Just had to throw my 2 cents into the fray.

I don't have a lot of time today, unfortunately I have to work for a living no old ladies are lining up to give me their retirement savings. (ha)

But no, I would not say that you can't be conservative without being racist. However, more cons are racist than are liberals. Liberal white males definitely take pride in pointing out racism and calling it out, and patting each other on their butts over it.

However, they rarely notice sexism and are generally just as sexist as con men if that makes you feel better. Sometimes worse. And they are very indignant about it because they generally support pro-choice policies so that means they can't be sexist.

This is all in my experience.

LMAO... please provide your evidence to support the above.

SF go into the men's room, tilt your head one way, slap yourself in the ear, and then repeat on the other side, because I do not know what you didn't understand about "this is all in my experience".

Honestly I do not know how anyone could have been alive during the 2008 Democratic primaries and not noticed how much liberal males jump on racism and don't even notice, or in many cases, participate, in sexism.

Don't pretend I'm not in the room. Address me directly. There is propriety and there is circumspection. I can't believe that you would think that you would be given a pass by referring to your black friends as "your boys". What you were trying to do was to appropriate "black idioms" as your own, which has no basis in fact. You ain't a "wigga", not if you had sagging pants, "rapped", or wore your hair in dreds. The black experience and culture is something way more deep than you imagine and not to be "boxed" and commercialized like the newest fad. Don't be confused. The phrase cannot be interchanged in political terms with cultural and racial terms. When referring to black people, it takes on a deeper, darker meaning. And you don't have to agree with my take...but can't dismiss it.[/QUOTE

I'm not understanding what is political about terms that I guess are either generational or used only a certain part of the country?

Just say you don't get it, and leave it at that. You don't get it. There are more important things to consider.

Like I said I only point out racism where it is...not where it isn't. You're looking through rose colored glasses and asking me do I see the tint.

poet, you do a real disservice to actual racism by crying wolf all the time. there a probably as many racists in the dem party as the pub party.

I agree men are not as apt to notice sexism. But generalizing saying conservatives are more racist is amusing. That is mythical.

Just say you don't get it, and leave it at that. You don't get it. There are more important things to consider.

Yet it is you that doesn't get it. You cannot comprehend the FACT that younger generations don't see things the way you do. It is either age or region. One of the two. Because your reaction to the phrase 'my boy' is completely different than what we see. The word 'boy' still has negative connotations. If I were to go up to a black man and say 'hey boy, get me some coffee', that would be racist. If I go up to my friend and say 'you're my boy', it is quite the opposite. That is what you cannot seem to comprehend.

Like I said, the above is complete bullshit. You have implied multiple times that I am a racist. Yet you provide NO evidence of such to back up that stupidity. you see it everywhere. Especially in anyone that says they are the least bit conservative. The stupidity of that is what is astounding given we don't think you are a stupid person. But on this topic you are off the charts ignorant.

I'm open to hearing other people's thoughts. If Blue (the character not the color) was black would this be racist?

I know it's hard to deal with the truth, but denial isn't a river over in Egypt. Nobody is that blind, that they can't see it, in stark terms. Pretend if you want to...I deal in the real world.

There is nothing wrong with my comprehension. You haven't proven your case, beyond a reasonable doubt. I'm not buying it, and I don't have to.

You're entitled to your opinion............such as it is.
