Who Paid A Higher Effective Federal Tax Rate Than Romney?

i can see why some are upset over mitt's tax rate. basically he did not "work" to earn the money, the money "worked" for him. that said, if you want to change it, talk to congress, not mitt.

and don't forget mr. high and mighty buffet table, paid less taxes than his secretary. yeah...he whined about it....but amazingly couldn't bring himself to pay more taxes. he didn't have to take any deductions etc.....he could have self governed and paid more taxes.

The difference between Willard and Warren is that Willard thinks it is "envy" to suggest that the system is unfair and he is running for president on a platform to ensure that the system is changed for the benefit of people like him while Warren Buffet thinks the system is unfair and has said it ought to be changed so that rich people pay more in taxes.

cite the full quote dungpile.

what don't you understand about the fact that buffet CAN pay more taxes VOLUNTARILY?

OTE=Dungheap;941137]No, thanks. You can find it if you wish. Preferably in a quiet room.

no suprise you don't want to put the full quote up. that would.....well.....make you look dumb.

[/TE]I understand all that needs to be understood about it. It is irrelevant.[/QU
so you can't put up a quote and you can't talk about whether buffet can voluntarily pay more taxes. real good debate there dung......you really countered my points.

Can you cite your claim? Or are you to tired today?

Are you determined to prove just how much of a fucking idiot you are?

I already linked up the site that shows the average effective tax rates. We have already been discussing the stats on that site.

Either read the fucking threads on the topic or shut the fuck up.

The difference is Romney doesn't think he needs to waste more money by giving extra to DC politicians. Warren CLAIMS he wants to pay more, yet he doesn't. NOTHING... and I do mean NOTHING is stopping Warren Buffet and every other 'I want to tax the rich' rich liberal from paying MORE in taxes. Could Obama volunteer to pay more? Absolutely. Do you think he WILL pay more? Not a chance in hell. Neither will the Kennedy's, the Kerry's, the Rockefellers or any other rich Dem that proclaims the wealthy should pay more. Every single one will maximize their deductions according to what is allowed by the 70,000+pages of tax code. (Well... assuming the Dems can find other Dems that actually PAY their taxes rather than 'forgetting' to as so many in the Obama admin seem to do.)

Why is that?

Because he wants every rich person to pay more, himself included, and wants the laws changed to make that happen. Of course everyone will maximize their deductions. That's the way the world works. Warren Buffet voluntarily paying more taxes doesn't change the inherent unfairness of the system, which is what ought to be addressed.

what? so the government should FORCE buffet to pay more? good lord.

So he WANTS to pay more, but CAN'T pay more unless everyone else is forced to pay more too?

LMAO... yeah, that is the typical hypocritical bullshit the left loves to spit out. 'But of course everyone will maximize their deductions'.... yet at the same time the left is bitching about Romney... maximizing his deductions.... YOU included.

Maybe you should re-read post #4. I'm not bitching about Romney maximizing his deductions. I'm bitching about (1) the fact that his effective rate is ridiculously low for his level of income and (2) that he is campaigning on a platform that would make the tax code more favorable to people like him.

Try to keep up, SF.

Romney (and the rest of the Republican filed, frankly) defend the fact that the wealthiest pay the lowest percentage of income in taxes and think it is just a matter of "envy" to suggest otherwise.

You mean, except for the 47% that pay ZERO% in income taxes.

Romney Paid 13.9% Tax Rate on $21.6 Million in 2010 Income??? (WTF?)

An effective rate of 13.9% ain't too shabby. Nice work, Willard's accountants!

Dumbass non fence mender dune argued with me endlessly that my rate was above 12 percent and his own link supports my claim exactly. Thanks legion dune troll! Maybe your fence repair biz would do better if you pulled your head out of your ass.
