Is Mitt Romney 'the Whitest Man in America'? Blog by Ta-Nehisi Coates for The Atlant

It would be nice if just once in a while he discussed something other than gay and race issues.

It is my opinion that the wwwwwhhhhhittttteness (this word cannot be correctly pronounced by any American) of Mitt the tit, has nothing to do with his race. It has to do with his manufactured image, his 'barbie dollness' his obvious desire to represent a small section of America.

Don't you have any views about Pakistan, Iran or world politics in general?

Yes. Do you have any views about gay issues and race? I tell you what.....why don't you express your views about Pakistan, Iran, and world politics in general, and I'll tell you mine. Geez.

I imagine when he was a lad in school all the evil white kids used to make fun of little poet, the boysucker.

And you were so intimidated by black kids in your school, who used to make fun of your clothes and hair, and the fact that you came from the wrong side of the tracks....you retaliated by joining the skinheads, whom you thought could protect you and give you your manhood back. How'd that work out for you?

Thank you. It's that wwwwwhhhhittttteness that folks are so over. Some folks just can't be plain white....they have to be wwwwwhhhhittttte. It gets old.

Yes of course I do, but you do tend to harp on about gay/racial issues to the almost total exclusion of other topics. What are your views on SOPA? How about the fact that many Democrats supported this bill after intense lobbying by Hollywood?

Well, the reason that I "harp", is because those issues are where my passion lies. I'm an activist. Sue me.
SOPA? I'm against online piracy, being a musician and songwriter....artists get a bad enough deal as it is, however I can sympathize with being struggling and not being able to afford product. For instance, Netflix has gouged consumers with high prices and poor customer service, leading consumers to look to other avenues...some which violate SOPA.

If you want to know why SOPA/PIPA are so bad just look at this TED video, they are the Internet equivalent of the Patriot Act.

It's the mixing of apples and oranges. While I'm against piracy, I am for internet freedom.

The US has around 70% of the world's lawyers, they have been practically wetting themselves thinking about all the new business these laws would bring to their doors.

I would suggest that this whoile thing is a pointless waste of time. Industries change, expectations change, indeed everything changes with time. The music industry, the film industry will find ways of surviving. They have no choice because the horse is so far from the stable now that one would need to close down the world and even then you would be no better off.
We are watching what man has always watched - the evolution of industry. I would guess that some musicians will suffer as some car workers suffer, as blacksmiths' strikers suffered, but they will either adapt or be replaced. Same with software people, film companies etc etc.
The difference between musicians, film makers, software designers and the blacksmith's striker is that for the former there is still a demand and therefore an opportunity (even though it may, for the moment, be hidden). No one rides horses any more!

Indeed, and isn't that what makes them scum? Ambulance chasers, and vultures.

If a thread started up as someone above mentioned that stated "Obama: the blackest man in America"... how would you react?

It wouldn't make too much sense, but I would say, "You betta recognize!". Why? Don't you think Mitt Romney is "way white", in fact, "too white"?
