Walker to face recall

or to bear arms, or to contract, or to do any other damn thing, but you let it happen

I honestly don't get your point here. Just admit the whole right wing worldview is portraying corporations as better than they really are. You know what austerity measures and the "hard leadership decisions" really are? Those memes are all about turning free people into slaves on behalf of corporations.

On CNBC they always say "business needs stability". The stability they seek is a guarantee that americans will have a downgrade in lifestyle, accept cheapers wages, and not revolt against it. Business prefers the predictability of tyranny over the chaos of freedom.

Time management is our ace in the whole over the aliens. They think slower because they are cold blooded, and dont need to eat as often, but they have time machines, and we don't. But we can beat them in the moment.

Someone must have put some crack in my coffee because asshat is making sense. Although, Smarterthan still isn't, so it must have been half a rock.

my point is that you become a hypocrite if you don't support the rights of all, instead of the rights of a few. it makes you look hacktacular for just bitching about a certain sect or group but giving everyone else a pass.

Honestly dude, the rights of the capitalist overlords are not at risk right now.

Yeah, I agree. Unless he's the Democratic Governor of California...then it's okay.

But let's not be hasty and recall any Republicans. That could set a precedent.

You know you are a fuck up when even a liberal blue state like California votes your ass out.

Check out the very deeply set loose abstraction chain used to justify fascism

america = freedom = capitalism = opposition to workers rights

That unions have attempted to equate public unions with private unions is one of the most disingenuous canards ever! They are not equal. Public jobs are supported by tax payers for the benefit of all. They do not create wealth nor is their existence ever to be seen as permanent. If some new public entity or service can do a better job- the old should be abolished in order to streamline for efficiency or necessity. The public union retirements and healthcare benefits are major obstacle in allowing states to effectively run. All Walker wanted was to bring these 2 parts of union benefits into alignment with their private counterparts so that (1) jobs would not be lost and (2) the state could balance its budget. The federal government recognized this same need and in the 70's under then democratic president Jimmy Carter, removed collective bargaining over retirement and healthcare from unions purview.

Why do jobs go overseas? Unions and government

Everyone loves to blame “corporations” for shipping jobs overseas. But a corporation—or any business—that ceases to be profitable will soon cease to exist, depriving consumers of whatever goods and/or services it once provided.

This (from another blog) was so well said, it is worth repeating.

Government employees (on any level) are not employed in a competetive marketplace, and their wages and benefits are paid by the coerced taxpayer, so they should never be allowed to unionize. At one time in our nation's history, there was a legitimate and moral need for "worker rights", and labor unions for certain industries fit the bill. All the legitimate and moral aspects of labor standards (minimum wage, maximum hours, minimum age, workplace safety, etc) FOR THE INDIVIDUAL WORKER are now codified in state and federal labor laws. Unions serve no purpose, today except: to fund political campaigns (from extorted members' dues), to raise the consumer cost of commodities because of an artificial value placed on the labor to produce them, and to force employers to look to foreign labor markets to make profits.

So you oppose this recall?

Because the people voted Walker into office. Walker and the State Legislature passed laws to help balance the budget. A SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP is opposed to these changes and is trying to force a recall election to get someone friendly to the SPECIAL INTEREST group elected.

A special interest group AND a whole buttfull of voters as well.

No. Jobs go overseas because totalitarian governments have turned their people into slaves.

why is it ok to embargo S. africa over apartheid, or iran for threatening israel, but when american livelihoods are stake, the abstract and perverse principals of "free trade" fascism are more important?

Exactly...when they say "austerity measures" they mean "austerity measures" for you and I...not for corporate, financial and political leaders.

No, it is because of over taxation and regulatory policy combined with union monopolies over labor costs. Corporations are not in business to create jobs, but to create profit. Profit supplies the ability to employ individuals. Cut into profit, cut into ability.
