Andrew Sullivan article

I dunno.....Slick Barracki doesn't have quite the lyrical tone as Slick Willie.....I don't think he's going to be able to spin this disaster into a re-election bid......

Excellent article! I agree completely with the observation Obama is playing the long game.

Look at ObamaCare. The bulk of the provisions come on line in '14, less than half way through his second term. By the end of that term some things will be so entrenched there won't be any turning back. Rather than throw everything out there and have it just as easily be rescinded he's chosen the slow but sure way.

As he's mentioned many times he's a determined individual. He can make a long term plan and stick with it.

Well he certainly won't be able to do that in right wing fantasy land. Sells pretty well here in reality though. That was a concise and objective analysis of this administrations accomplishments.

If it survives. The Affordable Care Act is heading toward adjudication by a conservative dominated supreme court. Obama certainly has precedent on his side but that doesn't mean this legislation will pass SCOTUS. It will be funny to see Romney try to criticise Obama on the affordable care act since it does resemble the Romney's legislation in Mass and much of components of the Affordable Care Act were originally republican idea.

Fox actually blurs out Sullivan's name on the Newsweek cover. :)

Well, of course. A conservative-leaning independent, who tells the truth? Why wouldn't they blur him? LOL

let's recap......ran against Bush spending.....spent more than Bush......ran against being at war......we still are at war in Afghanistan.........ran against Bush economy......economy is worse......

If it does pass I bet the Repubs will accuse Obama of having threatened to use his special powers to classify them as domestic terrorists. ;)

Again, more right wing fantasy land stuff. The Bush tax cuts alone ($1.8 trillion in revenue) have cost the American public more then the entire Obama administration outlay ($1.44 trillion). Total spending under GW Bush was over 5 trillion USD under Obama it's been 1.44 trillion USD....but what ever dude....Keep drinking the kool-aid.

Obama ran on getting us out of Iraq, not Afghanistan so that's a lie. Guess what. Were no longer in Iraq.

Obama ran against Bush's economy. Well fuck a blind accountant could have done better then Bush and have succeeded. Obama inherited an economic crisis from Bush with the greatest losses in jobs and the lowest economic growth since the great depression. Not only has the number of jobs in this nation steadily increased under the Obama administration (where as jobs were steadily lost under Bush to the greatest levels since the great depression) he has also steadily grown our economy from the shit hole Bush put this nation into with his irresponsible fiscal spending and foreign policy........so yea......stay there i lala land and keep drinking the kool-aid.

To paraphrase Reagan. Are we better off now then we were 4 years ago? OH FUCK YEA WE ARE BY ANY OBJECTIVE MEASURE.

Obama may not be the next Abe Lincoln and our economy may not presently be in the robust position it was in the late 90's but he's a far cry from the incompetent fuck G. W. Bush was who inherited incredible prosperity and pissed it all away with right wing ideology and incompetent governance.

what fantasy are you living in.....the deficit during the Obama administration has increased by $5 trillion, and that doesn't include the money he's committed us to spend starting this year and next on his healthcare "fix"......

Are we better off now then we were 4 years ago?

I'm not......most of the people in Michigan and Ohio and Pennsylvania aren't and you can't even pretend we are without getting laughed at......

Again, you simply don't know what you're talking about and have blinders on. Unemployment has steadily gone down since Obama took over the Bush recession. Jobs have steadily grown since Obama has been in office, the economy has steadily grown since Obama has been in office. The objective facts are irrefutable. Are we completely out of the fucking hole Bush put us in? Hell no. Do we have a long way to go? Hell yes. Are we far better off now then under Bush, by any objective measure we most certainly are.

obviously bullshit from another as feeble minded as yourself.....you don't run up a $5 trillion deficit with $1.4 trillion in spending.....apparently this article IS the Koolaid, and you're the one drinking......
