A national right of self-determination

If we make exceptions how would any insurance policy work? Does the person whose TV belonged to their mother get more compensation than the guy in the neighboring apartment who lost an identical TV in the building fire? If the home that is owned by succeeding generations is of more value I wonder what the owner's attitude would be if the municipality taxed them accordingly.

Oh, your grandfather owned your house? In that case there's a 20% surcharge on land tax because if we have to employ Eminent domain in the future I'm sure you'll insist on a higher value than your neighbors.

The discussion wasn't about insurance, so your post wasn't read through.

What is a basic necessity? All of these are available within numerous safety nets for the needy.
1. Air
2. Water
3. Food
4. Shelter
5. Clothing
These are a humans basic needs. Everything else is a luxury.

Why wait until people have lost everything before helping? Let's say a couple purchased a home 15 years ago. The man is 45 years old. He loses his job and can't make the mortgage payments. The government offers to pay his mortgage for a year. If, by that time he can't continue the payments the house is sold and the government takes back the year's worth of payments. That gives the family time to either find employment or make plans to sell without losing everything they've put in to the home. It's a win-win situation.

There are ways the government can help. Why do people object to them doing so?

If you're unable to make the connection I can't help you out.

The fact that you can't stay on track, is the reason you haven't been able to help anyone.

Everything that is offered, you try to spin in a direction that makes you feel more comfortable.

It appears I misread national right for individual right. As my post shows I said it is the group that makes the determination.

The determination has been made.....over 200 years ago.....its called the Constitution of the United States......if it doesn't meet your standards, get the fuck out of

OUR country......we have spoken......individual freedom and individual liberty and above all, individual determination, is the very foundation of the country......

try pinning your guilt trip on someone else......YOU ARE FREE to do anything you see fit, other than dictate to others what they should ro need or are required to

do. No one is making you stay here. No one is preventing you from giving all you have to your neighbor. No one is telling you how to live you life
.

Give others that same consideration....Its known as the 'golden rule'.

How can one be so dense? Do you or do you not live by laws? If so, that means the group overrides the individual. You can not do as you please all the time. You do not have individual freedom to drive any speed on any highway. I can't dumb this down any further. If you are unable to understand you have my sympathy.

You are a describing what happens already.

We've made " the determination " that we will not tolerate tyranny of the majority.....( group)

Our freedom on self determination will not be over ruled by any "group" without a revolution.

If we did give it up, the entire country would be Christian instead of just 80%........
Only Christians would hold office.
Church attendance would be mandatory, so would prayer in school.....etc.....so get a fuckin' grip on reality......read that Constitution and have someone explain it to you.

You still can't drive any speed you wish on any highway you wish. Perhaps you should have someone explain that sentence to you.

In that case kudos to Obama. :) Now the objective is to see what other ways the government can help.

Screw Obama ......Welfare and food stamps and help were around long before him.....it was once called "Surplus food" ....the food given to the poor in the 50's out of the back of a truck......from cans of beef stew to 5 lb blocks of cheese.....I remember it well.
doctors came to house and were paid "next month" when the patient could save a buck.

Yeah kudos that Obama has done nothing to fix the problem- he did not write the law that allows homeowners to remain in their homes- that's the purview of the lenders, so thank them!

That's it apple- if you are going to be such an idiot go talk to someone else. Foreclosure is never a good thing for a society or economy. But I digress, you have done nothing to support an argument against a national right to self determination. What you have done is play your inane game, as per usual, of creating straw-man arguments- later.

Irrelevant strawman bullshit as usual....

He always does this.
Someone presents some information and the first thing Apple does, is come up with something that he tries to make a comparison to; but has nothing to do with what was presented.
