There is a big difference. I don't hate the people, I hate how religion is used to discriminate against others. I don't care for public displays of religion BY ANYONE, not even Troy, my boyfriend. I was taught that religion is personal and to keep it that way. The evil of the Pharisees was drilled into my very young and mailable mind.

I have come to question the existence of God invented by humans, but I respect the people I know that still believe. I say over the top things on here to troll. We all have our moments or topics for doing this. Making comments about Tebow make his supporters come undone. I just imagine Damo and the little frown that creases his brow, while Zappa just laughs.
It, for me is a laughable moment, because we all picture how others I'll react to our posts at this point, after all with some of us, it has been over ten years of posting.

I have a gay aunt and she is not confused at all. Look at how many different threads you've started about gay people and this is probably the first time you've mentioned them not wanting to teach your kids. That's what I mean about gay people cosuming you. You had to start a thread about Adam Lambert fighting with his boyfriend because it bothered you that much? Them fighting is going to effect who teaches your kids in school? How does that work?

I have always told the Christians, whom I admire on here that I hope my comments aren't offensive to them. It is a process called life, it is trial and error and I respect their walk and I in turn would like respect for mine, the fact that I doubt. The fact that I don't see the same way as Christians doesn't make me a bad person.

It's not about perfection. It is about hypocrisy. You can't tell one group that they shouldn't pay any attention to how others believe when regarding one group (homosexual marriage for instance) then go ballistic when somebody worships differently than you.

I am not a Christian, but can understand that he clearly worships differently than I do and feel no pain, nor does it harm any other for him to talk about his God.

And remember you were the one that got all sanctimonious on me, you chose to "answer" a post to another with a rebuke directly at me and clear disgust for my tolerance of Tebow's religious views. On one hand you try to preach to me about Buddhism, then go sanctimonious on stuff like this and pretend you have some sort of moral high ground. You teach people how to treat you, and if you treat people like this expect a considered and thoughtful "exactly the same" back at you.

Sure, just like I liked Tebow when he was a Gator. I support the Gators because my nephew is affiliated with them.

Or ton has to prove himself.

I have never claimed moral high ground or acted like it, just because I think God should heal children before granting football prowess, are you kidding me? That is moral high ground? Just because I don't like public display of religion because I think it is personal?

I knw what a sinner I am according to others standards, I do treat people I respect with respect that deserve respect the others, well there is usually a reason for my nt being so kind to them.

If I thought your wishes were sincere, I would thank you.

I have friends who worry about me because they think Catholics aren't "saved." One of my oldest friends was a Catholic who became an evangelical Christian and she's always proselytizing, in conversation, email, etc. Makes me laugh that these believers think they know the mind of God and fail to see the arrogance in claiming to know the unknowable.

He shouldn't. Some of the best people are atheists, agnostics and apostates. Some of the worst people talk like religion is straight from God's mouth to their ears.

You must think my wishes were written in the same frame of mind yours were. Interesting. You should thank me. I do hope everybody in your life is well, even if you think Tebow prays for victory rather than just out of sheer joy for the wonderful gifts his god has granted to him.

Tell me, when people pray over their food (it actually tells them to in the Bible), do you think a chef who does it is praying for "victory" or "success" or is he actually thanking his god for providence?
