The resolution authorized force if necessary; the WH made it clear that they would exhaust all other options.

You guys enjoy rewriting the history on this one, and it may eventually work for people who didn't actually live through it. But the funny part is that Democrats were on the "wrong side of history" when Saddam's statue fell & you thought the war was a success. Now, it's all "they lobbied for war!"

I swear, in 10 years, Bush won't even have been there. Hillary & John Edwards will be the ones who made the decision to invade....

Do you realize it was a discontented family member who told stories about mobile chemical labs? Saddam's enemies fed stories to US intelligence and they actually believed that crap. Or simply used it to bolster their claim. Who knows? Deception was the name of the game.

In any event that was the result of a bungled war. A country most likely to become strictly Islamic. Tribal wars. Possibly weapons not accounted for. If that's "Mission Accomplished" it makes one wonder just what Bush's mission was, doesn't it?

It certainly is credible considering we didn't hear of much counter evidence, did we? Reputable people have said the evidence was screened. How likely is it the information gatherers were such blunderers they never encountered any opposing info?

When you vote to use force "if necessary" then stand by your vote or else don't vote until the "if necessary" is taken out of the resolution. Dems are such cowards.

Everyone and I mean EVERYONE was convinced Saddam had WMDs. You can't put all the blame on Bush, even though I know it looks so damn good to do so.
