Get The Feds The Hell Out of Our Education System.

There are many examples of it, USFreedom...

Basically. I agree with this one point. If you don't want them teaching that the "norm" is "right", you shouldn't have them teaching that any act is "right"...

Give information, leave the "right" and "wrong" to the parents.

The ones you presented were not ones where he was complaining about the schools NOT teaching about heterosexual being part of the norm; but was instead about anything being taught that said homosexuality was part of the norm.

I haven't seen anything that has said one was more right then the other, or that one was more wrong.

There were several, I guess I'll go through the frickin' thread for you because you won't simply accept it.

Allow me to make myself perfectly clear. Teachers are to keep their personal life out of the classroom, religion, sex life, personal political views, etc. Would you agree to that?

Here is one I agree with. They shouldn't bring any of it into the classroom for the students. Including if they are "normal".

Do you have a degree, or in many cases an advanced degree? And most teachers I know have to take classes during the summer to maintain their qualifications. Or if not, the only summer jobs are usually minimum wage.

And if you take what they make in the summer, add it to their salary, then average that out over the year you will see they are certainly not doing that well.

And if you look at their schedules, most spend a good bit of time at night doing work as well. Most also spend their own money for things the classroom needs because their budgets are so tight.

This is assuming they will always make what beginning teachers make, which is a poor assumption. Their unions have negotiated larger salaries for later in the career, as well as amazing retirement benefits. The bulk of their compensation comes later, but that is how they wanted it.

If they don't like the wages then they should have made a different career decision.

People don't become teachers to get rich. I simply posted the salary information in response to your "Teachers are doing pretty well" comment.

They are doing pretty well. You sound like a union man. According to union workers, they are slaves working for rich slave masters. Same old song. Nothing new.

I sound like a union man? WTF? You are really stretching to come up with new arguments, aren't you?

You want to get rid of teachers just because they are gay. You think they are paid well. And now you are fishing for someone to rant at about unions?? Sorry Sparky, you'll have to look elsewhere to find a union supporter.

No problem, Clem.
