Mott the Hoople
Sweet Jane
It seems to me that when educators ever teach something that people don't like or agree with that it's called indoctrination. That's why I sympathize with educators. They have to deal with vast armies of morons like Failias who are thankless for these peoples dedication. As I was sitting here with my morning coffee, I got to thinking about this "indoctrination" thing.
It seems that hardcore rightwingers fear any "indoctrination" that comes from another group, but are perfectly fine with their own bunch doing it.
I'm of the opinion that our nation owes a great and lasting debt to those dedicated and underpaid professionals who sacrifice their time and economic prosperity to educating us and our children. A great part of America's success as a nation is owed to these selfless people.
I hear a great deal of criticism of educators from the right wing but be honest and think back to your own public education about the quality of your teachers! I do and most of my teachers were hard working and skilled professional who did a great job. There were a few putses but they were mostly coaches and gym teachers. How many people here think most of the teachers they had during their education were incompetent (you'd better think about the implications of saying yes!)?
So when I hear clowns like Failias carping about our educational system or Federal involvement I understand that it's more of their projection and anger that children are not being indoctrinated with their ideological and political agenda and not that they are actually being indoctrinated with another.
