Ginger White the new Gennifer Flowers

I wonder why now? He's not going to get the nod, there's no real reason to come out now other than cash... If she has pictures she'll make bank.
 
I could easily believe this story about Cain and the affair being true. I could also easily believe this woman is a scandlous money grubbing whore as this ABC article states this woman has had long time financial problems.

If he did have an affair why did he have it with a woman like this? It was the same question I had about Clinton, why don't they go for hot women? They are men of means or power or both and can easily attract top notch females. I don't get it.

She isn't ugly. She just isn't young. Of course our culture says that in women, this is synonymous with ugly. I've always said that the real scandal in this country would occur if a high-profile man was ever caught having an affair with an age-appropriate woman.

edit to say that I thought she was in her 50's. I see from reading the article that she is actually 46. So she does look older than she is, and obviously she is also still quite a bit younger than Mr. Godfather. However, she's still not ugly. Just not youthful in a youth-obsessed culture.

What is with these men? He only recently sent his wife out to refute the women who accused him of sexual harassment (as if any wife is ever in the position to do that). He knew this was out there. Did he really believe it wasn’t going to come out? Have these guys learned nothing since Clinton? Apparently not since they seem to all be busy waving their wieners around on twitter and f’ing like there’s no tomorrow with not a care in the world.

I really don’t understand what possesses a woman who was in such a long-term relationship to do this. You were screwing the guy for over a decade and you have no feelings for him?

He was never going to be President and only pipe-dreamers (or smokers) like Dixie thought otherwise. So you put yourself and your family through all of this for what? For ego, that’s what. I hope his wife hits him in the face with a frying pan. She should file for divorce immediately. Not even because of the screwing around, but because he knowingly humiliated her. That is inexcusable.

That's a very offensive article from abc. What is going on in this country? It's as if we slipped back into the 1980's and were in full backlash mode again. How horrible. Can anyone really read that and not see what they are doing? This is the mythical perfect rape victim coming back. Or, I guess it never left. If you're not a virgin attacked by a knife-wielding stranger in the dark, and badly beaten, then it wasn’t rape.

This is the same mythology building here. If you haven’t lived a life with no financial troubles (and boy is that getting rarer and rarer by the day huh? convenient) then you could not possibly have been a victim of sexual harassment at any point in your life. It’s just not possible. You must be a money-grubbing bitch-whore. They threw that all in there about his past accuser(s) while detailing this woman's financial problems. I get that they are attempting to discredit the women who accused him of harassment, but what is the point of doing that with this woman? If she had a 13 year affair, she's got evidence. Also, his camp's statement was an admittance, period. Let's not be stupid about it. So what are they trying to do get people to hate her by assuming she's telling for the money? And this is abc right? They're part of the "liberal media" right? Funny, they sound very reactionary regarding women. I mean, the freaking Vatican boys could have written this one.

How awful. I wonder how many men could withstand this sort of scrutiny? Of course, if you are robbed no one ever asks if you ever had a one-night stand or filed for bankruptcy, so I guess we’ll never know.

She's not ugly. I'm guessing that 13 years ago she was even more attractive. And Herman may be a chick magnet to some, but it's not because of his looks. Since he has all the arrogance of a rich, successful man, he thinks that makes him an irresistible stud, not an ATM.

For a minute let's go with the supposition that she's a scandalous money-grubbing whore.

Cain meets her when she's in her early 30s, at the peak of her physical and sexual attractiveness. He "befriends" her. He gives her money and gifts, he takes her on trips. At the same time White has had multiple money problems, lawsuits, and evictions. And Cain, savvy businessman that he is, doesn't know about her past? The astute power broker can't see he's being used for 13 years?

He went for a woman like this because some successful men get off on the idea of showering largesse on a grateful underling. He has nothing to lose because she can't hurt him, or so he thinks. He has a casual sexual partner when he wants her, and she gets a few gifts and life in the fast lane when he beckons.

White's morals can rightly be called into question, but Cain is not the unwilling victim here. For 13 years they both got what they wanted out of the arrangement. If that makes White a money-grubbing whore, it also makes Cain an arrogant, adulterous prick.

Ah, that makes sense. I was going by whether the candidate was able to overcome the accusation. He's already talking about leaving the race. This one resonates as true.

Yes. He is. So is Governor Romer and many others in CO. It's the most frequent form of scandal, and often the hidden reason for things like the reason that Ritter dropped out of the race after trying and failing to get his paramour a job as a US Attorney. Basically, they drop out citing "more time with family" and the local Press doesn't report the relationship and usually will get on radio shows to talk about how much they believe Governor Ritter.... Unless you are republican.

Yep. Amazing how Democrats are so concerned about republican affairs and ignore their own. Not a good idea for Dems to start comparing notes when it comes to sexual affairs of politicians. The Dems have given us too much ammunition.
 
It appears as if Mitt Romney may be the only top-tier Republican running who has been faithful to his wife. As far as I can tell there are no skeletons in this guy's closet.

Is this why the base doesn't like him?

I'm not married but I always thought the unwritten rule was if you are going to cheat you cheat upwards in terms of quality. If we use Cain and Clinton as examples, here were two men based on their money and power could for the most part have their pick of the liter. Yet they went after average looking women. Now maybe I've spent too much time in LA and have a warped view but I'm not understanding their actions.
