There are none so deaf as those who will not hear.

when ows wakes up and takes on unions etc...then they might have a point

but this whole 'corporations are evil and control everything' is tired left wing rhetoric

Yurt, what is the total political donations by unions compared with that of corporations?

I wouldn't call union dues "donations". They are taken automatically out of the pay. The worker has no choice unless he lives in a right-to-work state. If he's a govt union employee then he has no choice, period.

Dumb ass.

You are the dumbass.

Where did I ever call union dues donations?

you tell me hack

it is absolutely stupid to deny unions don't have influence as much as corporations. they represent huge voting blocks and have the ability to get their voting blocks to vote in lock step.

The enablers of the selfish, greedy 1% know exactly what the OWS movement stands for.

That's why they expend so much time, money, and effort demonizing it.

So only 7% of the population is represented by unions,
yet you somehow claim that the dues of these blue collar workers, minus expenses is equal to or greater
than the contributions of corporations?

Doesn't that just seem silly to you? Outlandish even?

Stupidity and cupidity are served by this pathetic pack:

no. common sense would tell you that a 7% voting bloc is HUGE. especially at the state level. and their contributions and donations to unions are in the hundreds of millions. at least far left wingers like nigel can admit the power of unions.

The tax deductions that help those with lower incomes -- such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), tax forgiveness for low-income earners on Social Security, and tax deductions for dependent children -- are offset by the breaks for high-income earners (for example: dividends and capital gains are only taxed at a rate of 15%; there's no tax on the interest earned from state and municipal bonds; and 20% of the tax deductions taken for dependent children actually go to people earning over $100,000 a year).

if 2,600 barrels = 26,000,000 it's no wonder you don't have dentist

It was actually nearer 4.9 million barrels, you were only out by a factor of five, but then how can one expect a supposedly highly paid accountant for Chevron to know such facts. Your spreadsheets must make interesting reading.
