For the most part the evidence shows that fracking is safe. Though there are instances where it has caused problems and this should not be ignored.If the shale deposits are thousands of feet down it is impossible for the fracking fluids to pollute the water table. That can only happen if the deposits are near the surface or are spilled at ground level and seep into the ground.. We have a fracking project going in England and there were some earthquakes alleged to have been started by the fracking process but they were around magnitude 2.5 which isn't even noticed except by seismology recorders. As for the gas coming out the tap story.
That's not really what's at question here though. What's at question here is "Are Petroleum Derived Waste, aka PDW, being managed appropriately"?
