You shouldn't use words if you don't know the meaning. You don't like the fact Bush went to war in Iraq. That is not dysfunctional. The War in Afghanistan was not dysfunctional. The hunt for Osama was not dysfunctional.

1) Obama followed Bush's plan in Iraq
2) Obama followed Bush's surge strategy in Iraq by doing the same thing in Afghanistan.
3) Obama followed the same procedures already in place for hunting Osama.
4) Please tell me you aren't blaming a hurricane on Bush? The FEMA response was slow. But the evacuation at the local level was pathetic. THEY were the ones responsible for getting people out. They let the buses be submerged rather than getting people out as they were told to. Plenty of blame to go around on that one.
5) The economy crashing was a direct result of Clinton and a bipartisan effort in Congress repealing Glass Steagall. Pretending Bush somehow fell asleep is comical. It was YOUR DEMS that were in charge of Congress at the time. Just so you know... it is CONGRESS that creates the laws... not the President. So it was Pelosi and Reid that were asleep.

6) Obama has done NOTHING to get the economy back on track. Unemployment is still high.

That said... the DYSFUNCTIONAL part I was referring to is the FACT that Obama cannot even get a budget passed. Something required... yet for two years with Super Majorities he could not get a budget passed by his own party. Every thing that comes up for discussion leads to yet another highlight real of dysfunction.

Our President, instead of LEADING, runs around the country stomping his feet and pouting and screaming that the Reps are 'obstructionists' and 'not doing their jobs' because they refuse to do what Obama stomps his feet and demands they do. The Reps actually have plans put forth. They are actually passing bills in the House to try and help. But Obama and his do nothing party in the Senate have done NOTHING.

Each of them is true Jarod. Obama has followed the timeline Bush and the Iraqi government put in place after the surge (which Obama opposed) worked. Obama most certainly did initiate a surge in Afghanistan troop levels to help the situation there. Please highlight what procedures Obama implemented that were different than Bush in terms of tracking Obama.

Again... FEMA's response was not what it should have been. Not even close. But had Nagin evacuated the city as ordered, the situation also would not have been as dire. The point was there was a lot of mistakes made in that situation and Mott, like many on the left, like blaming Bush alone for the mess. Also, take a look at the political friends Obama has put in place... if it is dysfunctional for Bush to have done so, then the same standards must be applied to Obama's appointments of people in over their head.

Try reading what I wrote Jarod. I stated that it was Clinton and a BIPARTISAN Congress that repealed Glass Steagall. THAT is what led to the economic collapse. I also pointed out that the LEGISLATURE is who creates the laws and for two years prior to the collapse Congress was controlled by DEMS. Yet somehow Mott singles Bush out as the one who fell asleep. Tell us Jarod... what did Pelosi and Reid do? Did they pass legislation that would prevent the economic collapse that Bush refused to sign? No. They did nothing. Because the idiots in both parties continually muck around in areas they have little comprehension of (or they know and are in the pockets of wall street).

And it would be a lot better if he had a fucking clue what he was doing. Pumping trillions of dollars into the economy will certainly help in the SHORT term. But if not done properly it is NOT a long term solution. Just as the Bush tax cuts were a short term solution if they were not accompanied by the corresponding spending cuts.
