Ted Kennedy, Still an embarresment to the country even in death

Your entire respose is full of fail.

I made several points and you avoided them all, except for the one you continue to remain focused on.
As to you making an apology for Clinton and Obama, they kept the troops there; so they supported the war also.
That's why they didn't pull the troops out.

That's an incredibly simplistic interpretation. I think Obama could have pulled troops out sooner than he did, but immediate withdrawal would have been irresponsible & chaotic.

That's why you only commit forces when all other options have been played out.

You're trying to present it in a way that, because of the authorization to use force if necessary, he had no choice.

There were a lot of political & strategic reasons that vote went the way it did, but it certainly didn't compel Bush to do anything. He alone made the decision to invade, and it will always be his war.

Sorry 'bout that.

You are certainly entitled to think that way, but the historical fact is that congressional approval was needed for the invasion and it was given by repub and dem votes. You can live in your fantasy world. No problem.

The historical fact is that Bush made the decision to invade, himself. He has said so, and that is recorded history. He didn't sit down with Congress to make that decision.

How would it have been chaotic?
You order an immediate withdrawl and leave the county(s).

It's not like they have to with for zepplins to ferry them out.

Of course he did ask Congress for permission(to decide) to wage war (use military force) against Iraq....thats why they voted on the "IRAQ WAR RESOLUTION".....
Using ground troops was discussed by the Bush Administration for months...it was no secret....

Its history ! No amount of childish word play will change the facts.....

It's not wordplay. He made the call to invade. He didn't sit down with Congress to make that call, and nothing about the resolution compelled him to act as he did.

It's Bush's war. If it was a success, he'd certainly deserve the credit. It was a bad decision, though - and he gets the blame.

If you needed more time to respond, you could have just waited; instead of posting and making it look like you had something.

I don't need anything. I can't really comprehend how woeful someone's knowledge of not just that specific situation, but foreign policy in general, would have to be to try to suggest that there wouldn't have been chaos w/ immediate withdrawal.

Instead of trying to say what I'm not aware of; shouldn't you be supporting your assertion, by showing something that supports your assertion!!

Actually, you're trying to present it that because Congress said Bush had permission to use military force (war) that they didn't make a choice....
They did make a choice to go to war if it was deemed necessary ...and that was his decision even before the vote on the resolution....No one ever denied the buck didn't stop at the Oval Office....
(except Obama)....

These facts will never change.....Congress knew exactly why they were asked to pass the WAR RESOLUTION...thats why it was called the WAR RESOLUTION.

No resolution, no war.....its that simple.....
No Congressional approval, no war...
.its that simple.......
No bi-partisan yes vote, no war...
.its that simple..........

You insist your perspective is the only one and I disagree....but yours is the only narrow-minded, partisan, anti-Bush perspective...
.its that simple.......

But then, YOU don't write the history.....

Well, for starters, it wasn't officially called the "WAR" resolution. But I understand your need to lie.

And second, that's a really long way of saying, yes - Bush & Bush alone made the decision to invade, and it was his war.

And bravs, as well as the rest of the Bush apologists - you're correct, in that I do not write the history.

History will remember Bush making the decision to invade. It will remember it as Bush's war.

Yep, a clear cut case of BDS if I ever saw one.

What is your contention....that congress didn't give Bush the authorization to make the decision to invade?

How interesting. You couldn't answer my question.

Pretty telling. It isn't "BDS" to say Bush made the decision to invade. If that's the case, then Bush himself has BDS.

What a funny apologist you are...

My God, you really love the verb assert so much that you have twice in one sentence. Haven't you heard of a thesaurus? Here are a few alternatives for you to use.

Insist, declare, maintain. advance, affirm, allege, argue, asservate, attest, aver, avouch, avow, butt in, cite, claim, contend, defend, horn in, justify, mouth off, pop off, predicate, press, proclaim, profess, pronounce, protest, put forward, say, shoot off one's mouth, shoot one's wad, stand up for, state, stress, swear, uphold, vindicate, warrant
