Bullet hits WhiteHouse

The AK-47 found near the shooting site was legally registered to the suspect, who is from Idaho...the Ruby Ridge state.

So you are happy with that then?

You forgot this substantial tidbit in your post;
  • For transactions occurring on or after January 1, 2002, has not completed a certified firearms safety training course conducted free of charge by the Police Training Commission or that meets the standards of the Police Training Commission.
Purchase of a handgun or assault weapon from a regulated firearms dealer is subject to disapproval by the Secretary of the Maryland State Police during a seven-day waiting period. The buyer must complete an application form that is sent by the dealer or law enforcement agency to the Secretary of the State Police for investigation.

It's illegal to sell handguns to people from another state. To do that it'd need to be shipped to a dealer in the buyers states.

Handguns have nothing to do with it. The suspect used a legally-purchased AK-47 registered in his name, apparently...BTW, VA & MD are adjacent. The suspect is from Idaho.

Did you say that when the left was making movies about the assassination of George Bush? Hmmmm?

I believe he probably did. When the nutcases were calling for the assasination of Bush there were plenty who called them on it.

Considering how far one can reach with a sniper rifle, I find it amazing how little we hear about incidences like this. There are a ton of nutjobs out there...

Shoot, with Clinton that dude even crashed a plane on the WH lawn in an attempt.. Nutjob.

You'd figure that Biden would be enough of a life insurance policy.

I wonder if it was one fired at somebody else elsewhere in the city...

President Biden? Yeah, that thought would stop most folks.

How far isVirginia from DC?

You can get there on the Metro.

Doesn't seem very restrictive to me. Although they do have some eminently sensible minimum checks. Whether they are rigorously enforced is another matter.

Maryland is also the only state, to my knowledge, that holds the gun manufacturers liable for what a person does with their product. In other words, if I buy a gun and kill someone with it, Maryland thinks the victim's family should be able to hold the gun maker responsible. Funny, but they don't think Ford or Toyota should be responsible for what a drunk driver does.

Oh my God. It's relevant because the Norway shooter obtained all his guns legally. He had a clean criminal record and had owned a shotgun for 7 years before he obtained other guns legally in Norway. Why didn't they stop him? Because no one knew he went nuts. Sometimes shit happens. You can't pass laws to stop that. Wouldn't it have been great if one of the people with the kids had a weapon? I wonder how many lives would have been saved rather than everyone being unarmed and allowing an assassin free reign for an hour and a half. Dumb ass liberals.

I agree with you. I think more people should carry guns. Sure, there may be nuts but the nuts won't last long if other people have guns.
