Oh my God. It's relevant because the Norway shooter obtained all his guns legally. He had a clean criminal record and had owned a shotgun for 7 years before he obtained other guns legally in Norway. Why didn't they stop him? Because no one knew he went nuts. Sometimes shit happens. You can't pass laws to stop that. Wouldn't it have been great if one of the people with the kids had a weapon? I wonder how many lives would have been saved rather than everyone being unarmed and allowing an assassin free reign for an hour and a half. Dumb ass liberals.

And here is the point you're trying to make with it: because you can't stop all tragedies, you shouldn't try to stop the ones you can.

The only thing that could have stopped this tragedy would have been someone with a gun to kill him. I'm not against gun laws. I'm against making it nearly impossible for the average guy to own one. We have more than enough gun control laws.
 
Considering how far one can reach with a sniper rifle, I find it amazing how little we hear about incidences like this. There are a ton of nutjobs out there...

Shoot, with Clinton that dude even crashed a plane on the WH lawn in an attempt.. Nutjob.

You'd figure that Biden would be enough of a life insurance policy.

I wonder if it was one fired at somebody else elsewhere in the city...

Personally I hope Obama lives a looong life, as a civilian. I want him to be beaten decisively at the ballot box because his policies suck and for the US to pull back from the brink of the long path to irrelevance.

Yeah, but who would suck less than him on the Republican side at this point in time? I don't see anyone on the roster at this time that I would feel confident about voting in to bring the change we need to government.

that would be specifically up to whatever caretaker they have, since they would be responsible for any aftermath. If they have no caretakers, then they should be in a mental institution.

Doesn't seem very restrictive to me. Although they do have some eminently sensible minimum checks. Whether they are rigorously enforced is another matter.

  • Is a habitual drunkard.
  • Is addicted to a controlled dangerous substance (habitual user).
  • Suffers from a mental disorder and has a history of violent behavior against himself or another.
  • Has been confined to a facility for more than 30 days for the treatment of a mental disorder.
