My take is this, and I have no scientific evidece to back it up, its just my gut.

Repressing sexuality at a young age leads to pedophelia. Therefore groups that are encouraged to repress there sexuality have a higher instance of pedopehlia. Gays, especally religous gays, are encouraged to repress there sexuality way past a healthy age and IF there is more pedophelia amungst Gay people it would not be due to there sexuality, it woud be due to it being repressed.

I belive it is very prominant with Priests because they clearly are pushed to repress sexuality and sometimes that will lead to taking it out on a helpless victim.
