In a rush to focus on things that sell papers, namely sex, the papers mostly missed the real story about Cain that illistrates how unprepared he is to be President.

In an interview with PBS Cain says that China is dangerous because they’re pursuing “nuclear capability.” China has nuclear capability since 1964, I could have told him that!

The relevant passage:

HERMAN CAIN: I do view China as a potential military threat to the United States.
JUDY WOODRUFF: And what could you do as president to head that off?

HERMAN CAIN: My China strategy is quite simply outgrow China. It gets back to economics. China has a $6 trillion economy and they’re growing at approximately 10 percent. We have a $14 trillion economy — much bigger — but we’re growing at an anemic 1.5, 1.6 percent. When we get our economy growing back at the rate of 5 or 6 percent that it has the ability to do, we will outgrow China.

And secondly, we already have superiority in terms of our military capability, and I plan to get away from making cutting our defense a priority and make investing in our military capability a priority, going back to my statement: peace through strength and clarity. So yes they’re a military threat. They’ve indicated that they’re trying to develop nuclear capability and they want to develop more aircraft carriers like we have. So yes, we have to consider them a military threat.

Seriously, do you belive we should elect a president who did not know that China has Nukes?

Sure, why not. We elected our current President and he thinks there are 57 states, that Canada has a President, and pronounces "corpsman" as "corpse man". I'm sure Cain could learn to read a teleprompter like Obama did. No problem.

Totally different, mispeaking is one thing, not knowing China has had nuclear capability for over 4 decades is quite another.

So when Obama thinks we have 57 states, Canada has President it is called "misspeaking". I see. So Cain doesn't know China has nukes, Obama thinks we have 57 states and Obama thinks Canada has a President. What's the difference?

How do you say what Cain said while still beliveing that China did have nuclear capability. Canada has a prime minister so one could accidently call him a president. Thats the difference.

And Cain may have been thinking of N. Korea at that very second. I have just as many excuses for my guy as you do for yours. See what happens when you accuse people of being dumb while you excuse those you support? There's enough "misspeaking" to go around for all of us.

Well, mistaking North Korea and China is kind of a big deal, too, isn't it?

Edit: And North Korea is already believed to have nukes, so that doesn't make such sense either.

Yes, and the fact that he doesn't think he has to know about all the "Becky Becky Stan Stan". He will just get people who know about them. I think, personally, a President should have some knowledge of foreign policy, otherwise, he will be lead, instead of leading.

Or "Leading From Behind". That is classic.

So when Bill Clinton said, "I did not have sex with that woman." He mispoke. Imagine that, an entire impeachment over President Clinton mispeaking.

Cain said this in an entire comment about China and how we have to fight there powerfull economy, I doubt he was thinking North Korea.

I don't. I give him the benefit of the doubt just like you give Obama the benefit of the doubt.

I give Clinton the benefit of the doubt.

Of course you do. You give all those you support the benefit of the doubt and so do I to those I support. You're partisan. Tha's okay as long as you admit it. Drop the double standard.
