Time for a Truth Slap

Sexual orientation is a choice and a sin against God. Its not at all the same as race or creed.

1) It is not a choice, that has been shown time and again
2) It is YOUR religious beliefs that tell you that. In America, you do not have the right to force others to adhere to YOUR religious beliefs.

It has everything to do with equal rights and discrimination.

That's silly. It has to do with "definition". The left's agenda is to bring down the culture and tradition so they can instill their brave new world. It always has to do with "definition" and using terms like "equal rights" and "discrimination" to legitimize that agenda.

Exactly who showed us that it is not a choice time and time again?

1. No it hasn't. In fact our resident queer admitted that he had a preference for males.
2. And that's a scientific fact. :D

It looks like SuperFreak is really obsessed with the subject of gays. According to the logic of some, that must mean that he's gay.

1) Gay marriage does NOTHING to hurt a marriage between a man and woman. NOTHING.

2) You believe it is about definition because YOU want everyone to be forced to adhere to YOUR definition of the word marriage. It is a fucking word. Get over it.

3) Telling two gay people they cannot marry is the same as telling a black man he can't marry a white woman. IT IS DISCRIMINATORY.

4) If the government is going to be involved in marriage, then they CANNOT discriminate based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation. PERIOD. To do so would be placing certain religious beliefs over others. It is in effect choosing sides. The government cannot and should not do this.

5) As I have stated many times, if you truly wish to hold on to a WORD. Then tell the government to get out of 'marriage' all together. Any couple wanting government benefits provided to couples can apply for a civil union. Then 'marriages' can be left up to the respective religious organizations and each can decide who to 'marry' and who not to. But my guess is that you wouldn't even support that because some other religious group might allow those 'evil' gay people to get married.

Logically, you would be right, but we both know the leftist does not think logically. He has been indoctrinated to look at what is said by whom, their gender, skin color, and political slant. Then, and only then, once those have all been determined can the lefty make his mind up wether to accept it or not. Whether it's true or not doesn't even enter into it.

Did you just call me a leftist?

ROFLMAO.... that is quite funny.

I did not know we were discussing Coretta, I thought we were discussing the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.

You are proclaiming that he wouldn't support gay marriage because of the church he presided at. Yet his WIFE, who obviously attended that very same church disagrees with your view.

His WIFE (lol) presided at his church 30 years prior to her public statements on gay marriage. She does not represent what his church and therefore his position would be, anymore then you or I can. She is not him or his church.

LMAO... yet YOU proclaimed he would not based on a church HE presided at 30 years prior. She is a far better representation of what his beliefs would be than you, myself or anyone else could project. His church also has no bearing on the MAN himself. Obviously we all are speculating on what his position would have been.

You can choose to believe that a man who devoted his life to eliminating discrimination would have have supported discrimination is absurd to me. But you are entitled to that opinion as we have no way of knowing what he might have actually said.

I don't think my point was directed at you, specifically. If you want to tell me that being gay is something you're born with then you have to show me the gay gene and who discovered it. The position that gay marriage is a civil rights issue is a leftist idea.

It is not a leftest idea. It is essentially mainstream line of thought today. It is predominantly the far right that wishes to continue the discrimination because they feel 'threatened' by the 'gays'. Yet not ONE that I have ever seen can tell me how it is that a gay couple being married somehow weakens a straight couple marriage. Is gay marriage going to result in the average divorce rate going from the current 50% to say 49.9%?

You have no evidence that a woman who has has not been married to a man for 30 years, who no longer attended the church he was trained in, had the knowledge of where he would stand on homosexual marriage. The reason prop 8 passed in CA was due to a black vote turnout. The fact of the matter is no matter how liberal a black man is, he is likely not liberal on that social issue (I know there are exceptions). That said, the church in question, still is a Christ centered, not a homosexual marriage supporting, church. His father who continued to be the pastor there until 1972 taught a traditionally Christ centered message. MLK Jr. was a baptist minister in the South- That is what we know. So laugh away.

Yes, a baptist minister in the south who championed EQUALITY, who spent and gave his life fighting to END DISCRIMINATION. so yes, I will laugh.
