political hacks like to blame only the pubs, but the truth is, it is both parties. further, is it always the government's duty to create jobs?

Two Senate Jobs Bills Headed for Failure Today

The Senate is getting more than its regular daily exercise in futility today.

There will be test votes this afternoon on two pieces of the jobs bill, a Democratic and a Republican version. The senators will spend the majority of the day debating the bills, following multiple news conferences this week by both sides pushing their bill.

Both parties deserve blame. I'm sorry but even as a hard core dem I can't hide from the math. Dems get 90 percent of the blame. Obama instead of investing in real alternative energy and infrastructure invested the stimulus in status quo gov jobs like putting a finger in the dike of downsizing gov. Now we don't have shit to show for it.

Republicans continued their unified front against President Barack Obama's jobs package, blocking $60 billion in funding for road and infrastructure projects despite indications that Republicans are sensitive about losing ground on a top issue for voters.
The GOP has shown great discipline in fighting the president's $447 billion jobs plan, even as polls show that Americans largely support the various elements of the proposal.

The idea here is to stall the economy and drive Americans into poverty and to try to blame their obstructionism on Obama.

"The message that Obama has been sending, will be sending, and will continue to send is that the Democratic Party is trying to overcome Republican obstruction to help average Americans. You can count on this message being echoed by Democrats all across the country, as they try to localize every single race and make the central question, who do you trust to fight for you? While Republicans are wasting their time talking about “anchor babies” and “Ground Zero mosques,” Democrats will focus in on the economy and jobs.

One of the favorite tent poles of Republican politics is small business. When anything business related is discussed the GOP always frames the issue in terms of the small businessperson on Main Street America, but with their obstruction on the small business jobs bill, Republicans have left that pretense behind in an effort to stoke the flames of anger that are consuming the American electorate."

Jobs to the Teabagger party mean nothing but this is going to backfire on them come election time.
