The kind that doesn't need fox to tell him what to think, you two fags should have gone two college. This shit wouldnt be over your heads.

Hit you in the face with some truth and you ridicule it....you're more of a left wing nut than I thought...

Its like offering the homeless man on the side of the road with the sign, "will work for food", a bag of hamburgers and watch him throw them away....I've done it and seen it....makes you see the reality rather than whats presented to you.....

You've thrown a bag of hamburgers at a homeless man and watched him throw it away?

How Did Occupy D.C. Protesters Respond to a Table Full of Job Applications?

The news media watchdog Accuracy in Media (AIM) released a video Wednesday that may denounce the notions from some that the Occupy protesters are primarily concerned with jobs.

In it, “head hunters” set up a table full of job applications near the protest and start offering them to protesters. But the reception they get, according to the video, is less than warm. To many, that might seem odd considering the protesters have camped out in our nations capital for over a month following the Occupy Wall Street protest that began on September 17, partly because of no jobs. Accuracy in Media put it this way in a written statement:

“After more than a month of protest demands for better employment opportunities and benefits, Accuracy in Media saw fit to test their desires with…employment applications. Our ‘headhunters’ were treated to every excuse as to why these jobs aren’t good enough for them. We guess middle management opportunities with healthcare and 401k benefits aren’t desirable anymore.”

AIM Director of Public Relations & Online Development Logan Churchwell told The Blaze by phone Wednesday that while the “head hunters” in the video were AIM employees, the hundreds of job applications they had on hand were indeed genuine.

Faux headhunters.

Reminds me of the time (about 20 years ago) I entered a subway station and there was a guy panhandling. I reached in my pocket and pulled out my change and gave it to him. Probably about $1.50 to $2.00 in quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. He looked at the change and said, "I usually don't accept pennies."

Once I was with my mother downtown and a guy was panhandling. He asked my mother if she had a spare quarter. She asked him what he was going to buy with it. He replied, "A beer." (Draft was 15 cents or two glasses for 25 cents in those days.)

Anyway, my mother replied, "At least you're honest about it. Here's a quarter."

Jobs should be handed to them. Corporations should compete for workers, not the other way around.

You should understand the labor market a bit better prior to commenting. Corporations DO compete for workers. They all want the best and brightest they can get for what they are able to pay.

You're a man of science. This is hardly a scientific study.

I wonder what would happen if, say, they set up a table for adoption papers at an anti-abortion rally?

what a horrible analogy. they are protesting lack of jobs, and when offered a chance to apply, they rejected the jobs.

I don't think it was intended to be a 'study' nor did I see anyone suggest it was a scientific study. I saw a conservative group trying to make a point. To a degree they did. But no, it doesn't translate to the whole by any means. At best it could translate to that particular cities group of OWS protestors.

I think the better analogy would be setting up a table for adoption papers at an adoption agency. Those protestors apparently claimed they wanted a job.... they got job applications. A person proclaims they want to adopt... they would get adoption paperwork.

Now for the protestors who are simply pissed at/protesting the corruption on Wall Street, a job application is moot for them as that is not what they are protesting.

Perhaps this can be explained by your other recent thread, which stated that many live in luxury...

Or you could be confusing protests in NYC from ones in DC... I'm pretty sure that they aren't the same city. It's been a long time since NYC was our nation's capital.
