[h=2]STRIKE a light! This terrifying arsenal found in a jail cell is all made out of MATCHSTICKS.[/h] Dumbstruck prison officers discovered replica GUNS, KNIVES and even a SAMURAI SWORD.
The crafty inmate had painstakingly glued together thousands of matches — honing his bladed weapons until they were razor sharp.
A source said last night: "It must have taken months. The knives were lethal."

Wow....this is one of the most lulz worthy articles I've ever read.

First, the guards must not have been doing many cell searches
Second, why do you find it "lulz worthy"?

I don't understand how you can make a wooden knife blade razor sharp?

I see your confusion.
You think that each item is a single match stick and the items were made on a very tiny scale.

They appear to be full size and do have the ability to harm someone.

No, I am not confused. I understand exactly what they are. They are replicas, that are A: incapable of holding a significant edge, and B: brittle to the point of uselessness. They're modeled after video game weapons, and likely just an art project by an incarcerated nerd.

To bad we don't be close enough to each other, so that we could meet up and I could use you to test your "theory".
It would be fun to videotape it and then post it on U-Tube.
I'm sure that there are any number of people who would find pleasure in your pain. :)

Yeah, laughing myself into tears would probably make a great video.

It definetly explains yours and as to the rest of your post, it is obvious that since you've never been anywhere near my home, you are obviously trying to project your own behavior onto me.

And its patently obvious that you're buying into media sensationalism and honestly believe match sticks could hold an edge or be dangerous when its pretty clear they can't do either of those things. Like I said, the prisoner was a nerd who liked anime/video games, which is why his replicas resemble them to a T.

Then I guess hitting you in the head, with a beer bottle, wouldn't hurt; because it's made of glass and will break.

With sand paper and patience. It appears as if he found a way to paint and lacquer them as well. My guess is the same glue he used to make them was used to lacquer the weapons. He probably had no intention of using them...

;)
