NYC arrest records: Many Occupy Wall Street protesters live in luxury

Right, and you should be adopting a child a year from all those women you talked out of having abortions.

LOL

I see abortion like culling a herd, get rid of the weak, stupid and undesirable. Why do you think so many abortion clinics are in minority neighborhoods???

The rich are the worst of the lot...like the Hollywood elite?....Pinheads that have too much for doing too little.....

The young pinheads only have Ipads, cellphones, laptops, tents, food, homes, etc.,.... whatever the hell else they have because its all been GIVEN to them....most of them never worked as anything more that salesgirls, clerks, waiters, and berger flippers...they never paid a school tax, bought a car, or have a family to care for..they don't produce, they use.....they are takers and their naivete is thick to see in the dark....

is this opinion or do you have proof

The comment wasn't that clever, but I wanted to address it. I said pretty much everyone because some people choose to live away from populous areas, but most villages, towns & cities have public access laptops or computers. For practical purposes, there is no difference between a laptop or computer, if someone needs to use the internet, email or any office program.

But the comment was about laptops.
You're the one thqat wants to now change the goal posts.

Well, if you want to get all gotcha about it, I could amend it to laptops, and it would still be accurate. Even small towns have laptop access in public libraries, cafe's and other public areas.

So if that's what you meant, why didn't you just say so in your first response; ie:
Sorry I meant computers and laptops.

And how are people going to use them, without an ID; seeing as how these places require ID's to access them?

Do you have issues connecting via public laptops? I never have.

I guess the salient point is that it's not an issue, whereas something like access to higher education is quickly becoming a very big issue. I'm really not sure what you're getting at in trying to equate equivalency, or in drawing meaningless distinctions between laptops & desktops.

It was your initial input that brought up the laptops.
And Libraries still require an ID, to use their equipment.

Who cares about the median price thing? It shouldn't matter that anyone with money wants to join the protest. I fail to see the hypocrisy, and no one has explained it.

The median is exactly what it is all about.

Yurt thinks that only the very poor, the destitute should be protesting.

Somehow he can't understand that the middle class is involved in financial struggle as a result of the heinous greed of the one percent.

Yurt; Do you not understand that the ENTIRE MIDDLE CLASS including the upper middle class is part of the 99%?

Your link helps legitimize the movement idiot.

Maryland: This $1.4 million home in a quiet suburb of Washington, DC is home to an Occupy Wall Street activist arrested on October 5. It has a tree-filled lot, nearly 3,000 square feet of space, a swimming pool and a half-acre to roam on. What more could a destitute protester want?

The pool guy. The gardener. The housekeeper. Not to mention the cost for utilities to run the heating and air conditioning.

Have you no heart, Yurt?

I still think it's ridiculous to paint this protest as some sort of "we want to eliminate wealth" effort, but since a lot of conservatives seem to think that, it got me thinking about the idea of Biblical cherrypicking.

How come we hear that one phrase from Leviticus over & over again in the abortion debate, but we never really hear the quote about a camel going through the eye of a needle when it comes to wealth?

It's about oligarchy, rich people can be against their own interest. We see it everyday in the white trash fox fools like yurt.
