So you feel (notice I didn't say think) that shining lights in the guys face, yelling at him, and chasing him off (which allowed him to go free and able to commit other rapes) is dealing "with it"!!

I'm sure it will make his next victime feel oh-so much better.
If your wife gets raped; make sure you just yell that the guy, until he leaves.

i understand that, that still does not excuse them for not reporting a rape. and you said: why invite more abuse....hence my question. had you not said "why invite more abuse" i would not have asked the question.

pretty sure that was implied in #27, after the reports of all the confrontations. Do I need to be more specific when addressing replies to you that concern law enforcement?

here is post 27 above. again, it goes to my question precisely. you have made the above comment - what more can be expected and why invite more abuse. so, again, because there are bad cops, should we not report rapes? you are not clear on this at all.

I haven't answered the question because I fail to see how it fits in to your OP. Now, if you're asking me would I report the rape were I there, no. I'd be reporting a dead rapist. To answer your question from the POV of the OWS folks, hell no I wouldn't report it. Yes, because there are bad cops. One single bad cop can not only ruin ones day, it can get you killed.

yes, it can be better than the alternative. i'm telling you, there's no understanding of how wrong a seemingly innocent police interaction can go until you've either suffered one or had a loved one suffer one.
