What would your answer be if you were asked how big your government should be? Or how much tax you should pay, or whether you wanted the defence of your country or hospitals or schools?

I would love to see those right wing lunatics who have lost the plot, have to repair the roads outside their own houses, to put out the fire in their neighbours house, to watch a murderer walk free because there was no money to run the courts. It would be good news for the terrorists who could just walk in unhindered , kill and then walk out again.....

Oh, wait a minute, you don't actually mean the government is too big, do you? Because you have no idea just how big it is. But by the hell, you want to get rid of that 'boy' in the whitehouse, dont you? He doesn't get any whiter with the weather does he, and by golly if ever he is successful with your economy you'll never see his black ass disappear!!

An era of self reliance. Poor babies. I wonder how those pioneers settled the west? Good thing they had FEMA and the Transportation Department to help them out. Parasites.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that these philosophical discussions about the size and scope of government were taking place online since at least the time I joined the politics.com forum back in 2002. That would be before anyone here had even heard of Mr. Obama, but, again, I could be mistaken in all of this speculation...
