Marine injured

The mayor of Oakland is horribly incompetant. She won the election because Oakland has that stupid ranked choice voting. She didn't even win the most first place votes. Anyhow she is bad (and that's coming form local Democrats, not just my biased opinion). Olbermann on his show last night said she needs to resign because of the police action and MoveOn has put out an ad calling for her to go. This woman is so far out of her league with this job it is scary. This is just an example of it.

Edit: I should add John Stewart did a piece on her to during his show last night.

Double Edit: I'm also not saying she should go because she's a Democrat because anyone who replaces her is going to be a Democrat. I'm saying she is incompetant.

Here's an idea...how about you get off your fat ass and do some research yourself?

Nothing in Rana's post shows any "intent" to make it look one way or the other...but of course you don't score brownie points from the Ice Cow or The Banned One unless you get in some cheap shots.

Perhaps you could illustrate for everyone precisely the verbiage Rana used which made it seem to you "the Police were entirely in the wrong"?

You have yet to explain how this occured and why you've decided to make a post that casts all the blame on the Police; but then you really had nothing in the first place and just wanted to make it look like the protestors are innocent of doing anything illegal.
 
zappa, you should know by now after all the whining he did against my anti police posts, that usf is one of the biggest badge blowers on this site, so in his mind police do no wrong at all.

I read the provided link and there was nothing there to support the allegation and it's apparent that you have nothing of substance either; but I did wnat to thank you for the amount of effort you put into your posts, in an effort to show your side of a situation.

What allegation did she make?

That it was the police who did it? That part isn't up for discussion...everyone already admits as much.

No...it's YOU who are making the allegation that there is something more to Rana's post than there really is, and everyone would just like to see you point that out for us, thanks.

You've still been unable to provide a single shread of anything, that would support your initial attempt to make this appear to be as something other then what it is.

Did she or did she not make the following comment:

"Not overseas, either, but by those sworn to protect and serve!"

which would seem to give the implication that somehow the Police were guilty of doing something that they shouldn't have.
Otherwise the comment could have just been: "Marine hurt in protest".

lNow I know you desperately need to support anyone that leans left; but all this does is open you up to being seen as desperate and pathetic.
The choice is yours though.

Did she not make the choice to include "... but by those sworn to protect and serve..."

Would the following title be inflamitory or not?

Occupy Wallstreet protestors fail to protect 14 year old girl from being seually assaulted by numerous protestors

And that would be to avoid what is being discussed and instead make the choice to attempt to derail this, by focusing on something else.

Unsure, seeing as how there has been no information released; except that he was injured.
Maybe he tripped and feel, maybe he was injured by one of the many objects that the protestors have been known to hurl; no one knows yet, do they!! :)
