some of the 47% that pay no federal income taxes are working poor that pay state income taxes and payroll taxes (SS and medicare) so i would not call them parasites
maybe you have not heard but there are approximately 10 unemployed/underemployed job seekers for every job opening - many of them with college degrees
while i applaud the people that have jobs and are in the 53% that also pay federal income taxes in addition to state, local and payroll taxes, i do not look down the unemployed for whom there are no jobs
i think that most of the occupy people want jobs not hand outs
my brother, sister-in-law and i are retired and our retirement investments took a hit due to the recession/depression, but we are doing ok due to my sister-in-laws real estate acumen and our combined ss income
ps we are part of the 53% also and we support the occupy movement
pps we say to the conservatives in congress - where are the jobs
