We need to nominate, then elect Herman Cain!

So your sister's a retard, and speaks for all of Christianity?

Nope, re-read what I said. Also check out the quotes that I pulled from the Bible where it firmly establishes that a women is to submit to the authority of her husband. If you commit to belive that the Bible is the word of God, you commit to belive that women are second class citizens. Much like in Sharia.

If you commit to interpret it that way then you are as retarded as your sister obviously is.

How can you read it any other way? Unless you dismiss that part... which I do.
Thanks for admitting that you cherry-pick the passage to get a retarded interpretation. I read it as a whole. The passage also includes this:
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

How could you read that in any way other than a man should honor his wife to the point of sacrificing his own life to protect her?

I am talking about what some Christian Churches teach.

I am aware of no Christian church that says women must submit to men......I suspect you aren't either.......can you find me a passage that says your wife must submit to me?.......can you find me a church that says my wife must submit to you?......I don't need to edit anything into the Bible.....I can look at the original text and examine and reject what YOU have edited into it.....

I agree it says that, and I included it. It is different than being subservnt. If you belive the Bible as it is currently written... Women are to be submissive to husbands and husbands are to love there wives.

Two different things. Just because husbands have an obligation does not take away that women are to be subservnt.

You must have your head in the sand, go to any Baptist church and its THE message. I know many women who TRY to be submissive to there husbands because the church told them to do so. I went to a fathers day service at my sisters church, as her son was being baptised afterward, they said it about 10 times. I have refused to go back!

"Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the saviour of the body."

How did I edit this.... How does it not say wives should submit to husbands?

DAMO...

King James Disagrees with you...

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband" (Ephesians 5:21-33).

"Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything" (Ephesians 5:24).

"For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man." (I Corinthians 11:8-9)

"Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (I Timothy 2:11-14)

Ah, Ephesians 5.....one of the unbelievers favorite cherries.......were you aware that the entire passage starting at verse 21 contains only one verb?.......so, when it tells people what to do in verse 21.....it extends that to verse 22, verse 25, chapter 6:1, and chapter 6:4,5, and 9 equally.....

if the same verb is used, how is it you can argue that 22 requires women to do something men aren't required to do in verse 25?....

let's try the same thing in English....."we must all X....women shall do it by......men shall do it by......children shall do it by".......now, you chime in and say "Look, this proves only women must do X"........do you see how silly the argument is?.......

Love the gymnastics you have used to try to change the plain meaning of this...

I dont like it either, but it is there.

Many, Many churches use this verse to teach to women about how they have a unique obligation to there husbands that is seperate from the husbands obligation to the wife. If the writer intended for men to have to be submissive to wifes he would have written such, instead he said that women are to submit to the man. Where does it say that men are to submit to wives?

by reading it in the original language instead of reading it in the erroneous King James translation.....

So show me the origional?

You may be right, but mainstreem churches use the King James version and what I am talking about is what Churches teach.

Liar. Fess-up for once in your life and admit the obvious.

1) I am a Christian.
2) I dislike much of what the Baptist teach as I belive it is harmfull to many people and against God. I do not hate Baptist, I love them, that is why I dislike much of what they are taught.

So it's the Baptist faith that you hate.

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

And just for you, the King James Version:

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

We can all be one in Christ and the women can still be told to be submissive to her husband. Sadly that is what the current version of the bible says. I personally disagree with the teaching, but that is the teaching.

Your idiot ass is throwing around THREE different words here, and apparently, confusing their meaning in the process. To "submit" is not the same as being "subservient" and being "subservient" is not the same as being "submissive." The Bible says it is the wife's role to submit to her husband, not that she is to be "subservient." You interpret "subservient" because you assume submitting is subservient, but it's not.

The teaching in the Bible has been thoroughly explained to you, and you continue to insist the contrary. This is precisely how wacko religions are formed, by idiots who are too stubborn to understand something clearly being explained to them. The Bible and Christianity teach a MUTUAL relationship between husband and wife, where the wife has the responsibility to honor her husband, and the husband is responsible for loving and protecting the wife. In modern parlance, this translates to RESPECT for each other. You are attempting desperately to PERVERT what the Bible says, in order to compare it to Sharia, which clearly indicates women are inferior creatures to men, in all cases. There is no comparison of the two, which is why you don't see Baptist women in burkas walking 3 feet behind their man.

Now how about shutting the fuck up, and stop yammering about something you know nothing about?
