So his skin color makes him "one of your own"? That sounds like a racist statement to me. Perhaps you should ask your peers if that is racist.

Since you claim the Republican platform is "racist and discriminatory", please point to a specific point in the platform as an example. Thanks.

I, being one of the "Black folk", think that only intent, not the word , can be racist. To me a word can never be racist, the only way a word is racist if it is used with racist intent and explained that way. In my opinion, there are words that are just as offensive because of the connotation, like eggplant. The word by itself has no meaning, the history of the word and the situations in which the word is used brings the word to life. The term is both endearing and disrespectful depending on the situation in which it used. For example I can say "You're my nigga!" and it's reviewed as positive or I can say "You're a nigga," and it can be seen as negative.

For that you would have to understand the culture that uses the word. In an conversation I was told by someone that the reason the word nigga exists in the hiphop culture is because they needed their own word to describe “friend”. A word is just a word. In America you can say whatever you want to say. If any word effects you then that’s you. Again, A word like nigga goes as far as you intented it go, really nothing anyone say should affect you but for some reason people get offended by everything.

"Everything" means nothing. I asked for you to specifically show what I have said that is a "slur" and "offensive" and you haven't done it. Sad.
